If this tablet runs apps flawlessly why even mentioned such a statement in this review? And all that crap you said about fragmentation only proves you don't know what you're saying.....dude, THERE is NO app that runs better on ANY idevice not even the iPad air....than this tab Regardless of optimization, or fragmentation. The 64bit processor on the iPad requires at least 4gig ram to make any significant impact and it has just 1gig ram. Its still way slower than this. If you're in doubt compare benchmarks!

It's called fragmentation. It's why iOS is superior in this respect.

Lol tried it, no root cos my dad owns one. I've run chrome, candy crush and it runs perfectly on it. But I'll give you an assignment. Launch tekken 6 on passed on note 8.0 and iPad 3 and get back to me. Lol all these gimmicks about a 64 bit device with 1gig ram is sooooooooo stupid. Only 4 gigabytes of ram will truly optimize any 64bit processor. So stop all these crop you're saying..... I can't stop laughing........ Chrome, sugar chrome hahaha haha haha, low end Android devices to can handle that. You need to go back to school...... Hahhahah

1. Chrome
2. GMail
3. Candy Crush
4. Facebook
5. Splashtop (pay for both if you dare)
You will realise why iPad mini 2 / iPad Air despite weaker looking specs. It fly thru all those faster then what this device can do. Psst.. those are GOOGLE's own apps... and it run better on iOS.. the shame.
iPad is 64bit .. and this one is just a rehash of a sd800 32bit old system. When this Tab S get ArT and Android L.. maybe we can talk again.
The only argument u can give that this tab is better then iPad in terms of apps is this:
1. Piracy apps (torrenting / illegal music download / emulators)
2. Open file system (all apps share same pool of data)
3. Eye-Candy customisation

Huh?
Please don't compare this to "any apple" tablet. Cos this is far far .......faaaaaar better than iPad mini. And there is certainly no app that runs as smooth on this device as the iPads or I phones or iPods or i-whatever. What tablet app runs slow on this when compared to the ipad? Please, gsmarena I think you should review this statement cos you seem biased to me.

Haha, we know about tab s before Yosemite so all apple fans claiming that apple "innovated" the link between mac and iOS devices are wrong, samsung already did it with side sync, and it seems more practical on tablet cause portability requires less devices in one's hand unlike apple's solution making iphone users lazy to reach their phone while they are sitting in front of their mac.

I had my doubts on the battery life, but thankfully it performed really well on the tests. Good job by samsung.

Despite of having the best tablet display around but I am still not convinced to buy a tablet based on just it's display. I would prefer a full blown OS like Windows 8.1 on a tablet at that price rather than an Android tablet for my daily chores. As the article said, Android tablets aren't better optimized for touch tasks. So, it's a waste for me. If that would be a Windows tablet. I am sold!!!

Mobile phones - yes, samsung is spamming the markets with same specs again and again in different names. Tablets - no. We did not have many GOOD choices of tablets to choose from till end of 2013. Very few good tablets (Ipad air, ipad mini 2, nexus 7 2013, lg g pad 8.3, samsung galaxy note 10.1 and Sony xperia tablet z) were available at the end of 2013. Just 6 good choices to make from. The rest were crap. Now that is changing. To me, that is a good thing.
