Samsung Galaxy Alpha vs. HTC One mini 2: Metal mania

17 September 2014
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes forward as the next super mini but its armor will surely be tested in battle against the HTC One mini 2. The two have their distinct strengths but enough common ground to meet on – compact and metal...

AnonD-38544, 17 Sep 2014Lol. How can we call One Mini 2 a "high ender"? T... moreIt's not very 'Mini' either. Like the iPhone 6, it has a lot of bezel. Both are closer in size to the Lumia 930 and Galaxy S5 than the Z3 Compact and Galaxy Alpha. It almost does Sony and Samsung a disservice to bundle these handsets in together - it's pretty clear who has put in the most effort.

Wait...the Alpha is beaten in the design category but the S5 ties with the One M8?

    Haha.

This is a mismatch. Like mike tyson vs a girl. Compare Alpha to iPhone 6. Oops, another mismatch!

Specs wise Samsung definitely wins but it looks lame in comparison with HTC one mini.

To be true, One Mini is not even in the same class as Galaxy Alpha :) Yes, HTC have great build quality, speakers and Sense, but this is it. Performance around 3x better on Galaxy Alpha, so what we are talking about :)

It would have been nice to do a "premium mini" roundup with the Z3 compact and maybe the iPhone in the mix. (yes the smaller iPhone is still a relative mini)

[deleted post]Looking at "oomph" and features inside TouchWiz is surely a winner, but generally Sense works and looks better.

Lol. How can we call One Mini 2 a "high ender"? The price doesn't define the phone. It never was and never will be a "high ender".
