Apple iPhone 6 review: Scaled to order

26 September 2014
This is Apple like we’ve never seen before. Apple like we never thought we’ll see. To begin with, there’s supposed to be no better iPhone than the iPhone 6. That’s the sort of thing you’d expect of Apple. Come September every year, the world grabs a bag of...

Right now, the iPhone 6+ is my daily driver and the phone is great. The camera is overall the best I've seen on a phone, bar none.

I have never seen the guys at GSM arena, throw so many disadvantages over a phone, like this Iphone 6.

its a disappointing upgrade by Apple, make no mistake about it. It could have been better, and im no iPhone user anymore. I tried it, and left.

AnonD-312753, 29 Sep 2014If samsung made a phone with IOS, I wonder how it would be ? A lot better than iPhone.
It would have Amoled, better chip, much larger battery, the app crashing and bugs would get better addressed, the ram would now be 2-3GB, and the multi tasking/features would get a huge overhaul.....

But that's what Android is for. A real smart phone experience.

aqibone, 29 Sep 2014Yeah. You are right. User Experience, A Perfect Experience ... moreSorry. The experience on the S3...Especially on Kitkat has been great. Up to S4 and then S5 and Note 3 on Kitkat is amazing.
It's IOS that is adding lag and weight.
How about you actually start using a smartphone before commenting about them.

AnonD-73252, 29 Sep 2014It's not suspect. Apple's Nitro javascript engine absolute... moreIt never has and never will blow anything away.
And while the cores might be advanced Apple purposefully holds them back drastically.

Limiting core speed due to mediocre battery and and limiting a crashing OS that get's increasingly heavier and a 64BIT chip to 1GB of ram is cruel punishment.

Can it run ok that way? Sure.....But if they cared even a little more about you and true performance rather than every single last penny of profit they can make off of you then they would fix the bugs, refine the coding and stop the crashes and lags, and up the ram to support 64BIT. Or at least 2GB. Than and giving you a 2000nah or higher battery and increasing the clock rate to 1.8-2Ghz.

If they would just do that the Iphone for once would actually fly. It would come close to having this illogical lead you all like to pretend they have. It would outperform many Androids.
Most of all it would almost actually be worth it's price tag.....

But in the end....This is IOS. This is iPhone. This is Apple. They are still the world leaders in app crashes. The bugs are every where. They have continually made the updates much heavier without adding much to show for it adding more freezes and lags...That probably has to do with lazy coding as well though. And unsupported 64BIT chip on low ram. Which is why the iphone 5 was actually more stable than the 5s.
Add to all that still an over priced set of outdated hardware "sans the SoC...though it is for being held back" and lack of current software of the this decade.

Apple's Nitro javascript engine absolutely blows away anything Android has to offer. And the A8 is the most advanced mobile core on the market that's designed to run that browser and that javascript engine.

That's the result of hardware and software created for each other.

The iPhone 6 seems like a good buy.
I'd steer clear of the iPhone 6 Plus for a while though.

Mind you, you'd probably end up fine with either - but it's good to be sure.
