Neil, 28 Nov 2014Reg the Note 4 which I had for 3 weeks now. I noticed that ... moreWhen you buy a new phone, the phone battery is new and partially charged. You need to fully charge the battery and use your phone until the battery is drained, then fully recharged again. Doing that for few times will initiate the battery normal performance as it was made to be. I bought a new note 4 and I am quite satisfied from its battery performance.

I bought a Note 4 two days ago. I must say it is an excellent phone. By the way, I'm still a proud owner of the S3. Good job, Samsung!

I do not have the Galaxy note 4 yet, but I plan on purchasing one this week. I have read alot of comments and rave reviews about the phone, and needless to say I am definitely amazed at the power and "punch" that this phone has, I can hardly wait to try it out for myself. This is my first Note series.

The multitasking key seems to have a lag because its waiting to see if you are going to long press it to bring up the options menu!! that's not the phone lagging!! Jeesshh!!! I hate when reviewers call that lagging!

Reg the Note 4 which I had for 3 weeks now. I noticed that for the first week the battery drains so damn fast. You can literally see it drain right before your eyes.

But now, at it's 3rd week, the battery last more than 18 hrs with continuous data. Has this happened to anyone?

I expected it to have lesser battery power as time goes by but mine seems to be getting longer...

Gsmarena is it so hard to do a comparison between exynos and snapdragon ver.. 64 bit version of lollipop neds mor ram to work properly so this means that exynos have no real advantage over snapdragon version? For watching YouTube videos, heavy multitasking, installing a lot of applications and they should be able to work properly to and that will not to be draining the battery power to quickly. ...is what I want to have. What version should I buy?

I measured the Note 3 and Note 4 volume with Sound Level Meter. I used 1KHz test signal, and music. You can see the two phone volume for Sound Level Meter display at the same time.

Pelumi, 02 Nov 2014Want to upgrade from an old blackberry device! Thinking of... moreI cannot comment on the passport as I have little knowledge of it.
As for what the iPhone and the note. There is now even a comparison here.
The note 4 is the overall best phone out right now.

And the claims of iOS being perfect and smooth is exaggerations. IOS has a considerably larger amount of crashes.. And it still has some lag/hiccups too.

The note 4's performance is going to be similar with less crashes and more usability.
And as far as how easy a device is to use iOS is not really any more simple to use than android.. On some levels its more complicated.

Android has more features and functions to use. But when people say it makes it more complicated they are forgetting a major factor.... Those features are optional. You can use the most advanced or simple functions to your liking.
For basic use of facebook, texting, calling, and such they are both very simple.
But what changes that is in most cases iOS has a settings menu that has been known to be less direct and more jumbled while android has a more direct logic set up in settings menu. Supposedly iOS 8 addressed this but I refuse to update and have heard these claims before.

But if you are taking the learning curve to iOS you can take itto learn a few more steps in android/touchwiz.
The whole easy thing is exaggerated. If you are going to use the device you will be able to start learning even the extra functions through usage and practice.. Some things toy might need to look up or ask about.... But when was that ever so complicated????

The Note 4 wins in stability, build quality, display, camera, speaker, features, battery life, battery charging, memory, price, stylus, customizing, multi tasking, productivity, and most ways in general.
Plus the exynos version actually runs a little faster in cpu and should get updated to 64bit when it gets the android l build which will improve it further.. And it has 3gb ram to feed it on 64bit unlike iPhone choking on 1gb.
And the gpu in exynos is only a few frames behind the snapdragon.

Plus its Samsung's biggest product. It will receive the most support from them. Probably more so than most other Android devices. As well as some serious after market hack support too.
