Sony Xperia E3 review: Blue collar

26 October 2014
Sony’s cheapest LTE smartphone - that is the Xperia E3 key selling point, but is it more to it than that? It has the same design language as the Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact so the trendy looks are also here and we have the latest Android KitKat decked...

Who would care about LTE or anything else, it is as big as 5 inch phones, too horrible. And why didnt they try to up the specs even a little, like use that bad 8mp camera of theirs that they used in many other cheap phones, thats already more than terrible enough quality for a budget phone but at least people would read the specs and see 8mpix and (maybe) be at least slightly impressed. Sony really blew it with this one, this was surely conceived when drunk and constructed during the hangover.

I don't care of it's price. Very thick and ugly bezels for a 2014 phone!

I'd prefer a little bit thicker phone rather than huge bezels like that ...

Sounds ok for a entry level phone

Errm, those bezels look horrendous. To put it into context, the 5 INCH LG G3 S has roughly the same dimensions. What were you thinking Sony? Also, why no g2 mini as a competetor?

Very good review. I like that fact that you people never ignore entry level devices. Very fair and unbiased review. Thankyou.

I stopped reading at "4GB of built-in storage"
                  4GB is barely enough nowadays

Android one is far better than this. Also too big for a 4.5 Screen. With those overly large bazels after a month you will feel like using a very old tech

Good for 480p videos, which YouTube has loads of.
