3 November 2014
The Google Nexus 9 will be curiously gazed upon by both Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 owners, as HTC gets back on the roster to take over from Asus and Samsung. The 8.9” beauty is a return for HTC to both the Nexus family and the tablet realm in general...

If you mainly browse the web and watch video, the LG G Pad 10.1 is the best choice. The battery life is super good!

darkraver, 03 Nov 2014This tablet is crap...battery life horrendously bad....What dope are you on? ,,Naturally, we put the Nexus 9 through our own battery test. The tablet managed almost 12 hours of video playback and close to 10 hours of web browsing.,,

Do not like the look of the tablet, front looks like a wide Nexus 7(2013) and a metal frame from Nexus 7 (2012).
Will buy me the Sony Z3TC.

The Galaxy Note 4 feel unwelcome in benchmark department with such a crash against Nexus 9. Well done HTC.

Who's idea was it for the ridiculous stupid 4:3 aspect ratio?

                    DUM DUM DUM DUM

They should of have it at 16:10 ratio which is perfect for a tablet screen just like it is for a notebook (laptop) screen.

Idiots at HTC crapping their pants because Apple gets a cut of every tablet that HTC make for Google.

                    So there is a

Its ironical how they criticize ipad's screen aspect ratio and now they decided to use 4:3 also. I hope android apps should be optimized to this aspect ratio and screen size rather than stretched from mobile version.

AnonD-239468, 03 Nov 2014Best Android tablet at the moment period. That 4:3 screen ... moreIt lacks both sd slot and multi window functionality. It's limited as in ipad limited (which is not a "good" limited), but as it seems that the few things it does, it does them excellently (again, very much like ipad). So it's in the strange position of being both meh and excellent.

If browsing, gaming and watching videos is all you do, this tablet is top notch. If you do more there are better choices out there despite their weaker hardware. I have to concede though that this is a beast of soc, the first Tegra that truly impresses me...

I spent most of 2013 hoping Google would release an 8 inch tablet to follow up the original Nexus 7, but we got the exact same size (which I did buy and am using now), and now that they figure 7 inches is too small, they went overkill with 9 inches. It's a fine size to rival the ipad air, but they need an 8 incher to rival the ipad mini - that's the biggest size one can comfortably hold a tablet in one hand in, and it needs to be closer to the 300g mark.
