I think Samsung are exquisite in execution their parts bin, however one should have LTE this days. It is the future and should be on all mobiles. For me the Nokia 636 and 735 represent better overall value particularly if you can buy them online cheap. They have the latest technology and software. This mobile will sell but will have an early exit to the rubbish bin because it will not be upgraded. HTC has the same problem. They have boxed themselves in a corner. So be careful with what you buy. It is just not price and looks. It must last the distance.

If you read the fine print closely you will find that the galaxy grand prime uses a PLS screen, which in a nutshell is Samsung's version of IPS technology.

However later on I found out that they're talking about the ppi. The ppi on a laptop or desktop is about 90% of the time around the 100ppi.
For example: 1920x1080 on a 22 inch desktop monitor gives you 100ppi and 720x1280 on a 15 inch notebook will also give you 100ppi. This is half the ppi of the grand prime

Having the same resolution in a 5" screen that you have in a 14" or bigger is just useless. I use my very cheap phone with the same resolution of the Grand prime, to manage servers via rdp. And it works ok. There is no way to use a full desktop in a phone screen, you will always need zoom.
Even with pictures and games, if you really want to see the detail you will always use zoom.
So the hype about larger and larger resolutions and bigger ppis in small screens is getting absurd. Those zillion pixels are becoming simply invisibles and just a marketing moniker.

What do you mean by most laptops and desktops have half 720p? Last time I checked most laptops were running 1366x768 and desktops 1920x1080.

Higher PPI (316... more.. grand prime has better camera better processor than 730 no lags 1gb RAM is enough to run kitkat...no heating problem...all games and apps are supported...it can record 1080p hd videos in both back and front camera...only it has less ppi but it consume less battery ...2 days battery life...lumia is just good for specification but window os is worst compare than android....

gado8647, 13 Dec 2014 grand 2 has 5.25 inch with HD display 280 ppi 720*1280 p... morehey troller sami sami gado 8647 without using prime simply dont troll ...grand 3 will be disaster phone from samsung...if you see grand 2& grand 3 only there is few changes like internal memory camera and processor otherwise its full same only size has improved...u dont have any proof about grand 2 better than prime but grand prime is winner against grand 2...grand prime has better specs better processor better camera than u r grand 2 ....it lags ambient light sensor because of price cut but it has better specs in 15k..grand 3 will come at 26000 price and grand 3 specification is mixture of grand 2 & grand prime...grand 3 will be worst phone
