Lenovo Vibe X2 review: Rainbow of colors

18 December 2014
The Motorola acquisition will put even more wind in the sail of outward bound Lenovo but blockbuster smartphones carrying their own brand are needed just as much, both at home in China and internationally. The QHD Vibe Z2 Pro is undoubtedly the top-of-the range offering, but what about...

AnonD-265153, 19 Dec 2014Samsung copied Apple's design on the first Galaxy S series ... moreNobody cared when Samsung copied iPhone?? People are still talking about what a shameless direct copy Galaxy S was and it will still be a topic for many years to come. Its just fitting that Lenovo does the same, they have not created anything useful on their own, thats why they had to buy ThinkPad and now Motorola. Really, people who have experience with laptops know this very well, lenovo laptops before Thinkpad was so mal-designed and awkward and poorly built, for example USB ports would be spread out on random where it was easy to put them for the manufacturer and never mind what the user may think of it. And youll see the same in their phones, quite ridiculous, they really needed Motorola so badly.

Samsung copied Apple's design on the first Galaxy S series and nobody cares. Lenovo does the same to Sony and everybody's complaining about it. Honestly, I don't care if it copies Sony's design language, this phone is just beautiful.

A really nice phone. Different concept.

The display at 50% brightness is way brighter than other phones. Hence the low battery rating. There are a lot of options though to fine tune battery usage.

And it's not the same price as S5 or pricier than G3. At least in India, this is for ~$320, S5 is for ~$510 and G3 is for ~$620.

Lots copying Sonys design nowadays, HTC, lenovo,...

they should have made it up to 8.5 mm thick and increase battery capacity to at least 2500mAh. But anyways, they have the 2300 mAh xtension available on flipkart, overall a very good phone from Lenovo

Lenovo is basically an overpriced Chinese clone. I've had one of their flagships and one is enough.

Build quality is generally below that of the major players. Specs look good, but performance is spotty and worse, updates are few and largely meaningless, Lenovo pushes a new model and abandons the old ones, even if a few months old.

                        I'd look elsewhere.
