Samsung Galaxy A5 and A5 Duos review: Five star

30 January 2015
Samsung's newly found love for “premium build” is spilling down the ranks and if the new A-series get half the love and attention the S-line has been getting, it will be a job well done. The Koreans are right to try and stir things up in the midrange...

Finally a phone from Samsung which looks durable. I would love to buy it if only it was free from these disadvantages.

Speaker & flash placement on the back is too outdated & ugly. If you put a case on, it'll look exacly the same as S3 which is now 3 years old phone.
Snapdragon 410 is more befitting cheaper, lower midrange devices
It's comparatively pricey for the hardware features offered
Dual-SIM version forfeits microSD
Battery is non-removable
Duos tag unnecessarily screams on the back
A5 is soo expensive that it is only $100 cheaper than ALPHA which is a great device.

Arena why u putting non removable battery as disadvantage???
        Why?
That is BIG REALLY BIG Advantage!
Or u want more ppl with burning samsung phones??
Am so glad samsung got brain and they stopped making phones with removable back!
All smartphones SHOULD be with an non removable batt. From now on!
        Safety is important!
At least naive ppl wont buy crappy batteries too!

Ayush01, 31 Jan 2015Is GS*A paid by Samsung? When u see the price to performance... moreI dont understand. How do you want the price to performance ratio be presented? "OMG WTF SUPAH PRICEY FOR MIDRANGE S***..." Like that? GSMarena already pinpointed that it is pricey, no need to go buckwild on that. And they also gave alternatives at the last page for those who are not satisfied with the phone so whats up with the hurt on GSMarena?

Lenovo A6000 troll A5 big time. S3 neo is better than that.

                      64 bit + 2 GB RAM = gimmick

Needs 4GB minimum. Sammy fooling its customers again.
