30 March 2015
The last two generations of HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S were separated by the looks versus practicality debate. Samsung's revamped design erodes this difference, while HTC stepped up its camera game...

AnonD-126854, 30 Mar 2015From the article: HTC One M9 over Galaxy S6 •Metal unibod... moreThat's how it always works. It's the same for every comparison. What's specs each has over the other. And then they address these in the review in detail to see how they hold up. And specifically point out that the results might show another story while showing the advantages.

I think you should make a comparison between M8 and M9 to show how this company is running out of idea. It's so unnecessary to compare with S6. Everyone knows s6 basically win in every aspect

For years I've been complaining for Samsung's design--now I have to eat all my words I hv said before. The S6 edge is truly, truly, amazing. Performance? Don't ask. 14nm Exy 7octa chipset is a true top-notch chipset. Just get the UI to look better.

The S6 and S6 edge are both a masterpiece and worthier phones to be bought, rather than any phones in this world.

I'm a BIG Samsung fanboy. If u don't trust me go look my instagram @j_eugenes

Is it just me or somebody else also thinks Samsung S6 screen looks better than HTC M9?? I am not talking about ppi, but just looking at them, for some strange reason, Galaxy S6's screen looks more appealing.

Well, I was convinced to the M9 first, but after seeing the S6 today in the shop, man this is a total improvement over any other Sammy phone before!!!!! I used to hate Sammy after playing with the S3, S4, S5 but now they really upped their game..
As for the storage issue, I see no point for putting an external memory card when you have a tremendously fast internal storage. What I am really worried about is the battery thing. By making it unremovable, you are putting an expiry date for the whole phone, where you can't replace the battery easily.
Anyways, i am impressed with Sammy this year. They got me in love with them. M9's advantages can be easily overtaken by Sammy. Audio quality and maybe the design (premium feel part) are the only pros for them, although Sammy has vastly increased their audio quality and (finally) put the loudspeaker down facing, rather than back facing, which really makes music audible via loudspeaker without having to turn the phone down facing on the desk.
All what I can say is, thank you Samsung for such a gift, although you can make it even much better with adding at least the micro sdcard slot and removable battery capabilities. HTC needs to work on another Formula to survive.

AnonD-265341, 30 Mar 2015Funny you mentioned heart rate monitor. Every single phone ... moreFirst of all , this is NOT "heard rate monitor"

This is ADDITIONAL INPUT , that Samsung use it for to put on the flash light, and to shoot the front camera.
This could be used by developers for many other apps too.
So it's great and USEFUL extra hardware feature.

Another advantage with Samsung is they didn't depend on Qualcomm this time around. They wanted more control of their own fate. For the last few years, we see the S4 or S5 get surpassed by another Qualcomm processor that gets released later in the year. Samsung was stuck in the same realm as HTC. Now they went their own way almost leapfrogging passed 810-dependent flagships. I am surprised LG may use the SD808. While Snapdragon 800 & 801 are hits, the 810 seems to be problematic only rectified by the 815 and 820.

                  From the article:
HTC One M9 over Galaxy S6
•Metal unibody vs. metal and glass body.
(And how is that better? Or iReviewer detected?)
                  •Stereo speakers
(Many reviewers state that S6 speakers are louder)
                  •Higher resolution still camera - 20.7MP vs 16MP; dual-LED flash
(and how this helps for better pictures? LOL)
•Expandable storage with microSD card slot
                  (Check)
                  •Larger battery - 2,840mAh vs. 2,550mAh, both sealed
(And how this helps for better M9 battery life? If it doesn't - why it is the "HTC over S6" section? ROTFL)

Just arrived. Haven't read any comments or the review yet.

Obvious prediction. S6 has a strong objective lead in most cases and many HTC fans or general Samsung dislikers will comment in denial.

Samsung provides lots of unnecessary features. For example barometer who needs barometer? Or wireless charging. Although charging is wireless, charger needs cable. Not only s6 has waste functions but also it hasn't got some essential features. There is no microsd slot. It is necessary. S6 has 32 GB storage and 9 GB of free space is using by system. There is only 23 GB for user. It has 2K resolution but there isn't enough free space for 2K movie. There is no fast charging. There is no Usb 3.0. There is no removable battery.

It's a seperate monitor that are on the side of the camera flash.

So do more homework before you can get your facts right.

HTC has lost its chance to improve in the camera department. What they did is a joke. After so much talk about low-light performance and UltraPixels, they are giving us a phone which is a joke in low light.

I do pity HTC. Samsung will eat them for breakfast this year. Pity because I liked the design, sound capabilities, interface.

                                      what about gaming endurance????

AnonD-39775, 30 Mar 2015"samsung galaxy s6 over one m9" section is full o... more1. When the screen size is so small in differences, then i rather prefer 5.1 inch over 5 inch. The Galaxy S6 is smaller than the M9 anyways.

                                        2. The more pixels you have, the clearer and sharper the images and stuffs that you see on the screen is. So it's a positive thing to have more pixels. Infact, you have to go up to around 900 PPI before you can't see any differences in sharpness and on how clean things looks on the screens are.

                                        3. That's just your own opinion. If you buy stuffs from eBay where you have to pay with PayPal, this will be really nice to have.

                                        4. I do both have the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy S4, and i can both see and feel the differences in the thickness on both phones. My Note 4 is 8.5 mm thick while my S4 is 7.9 mm thick. So you will for sure feel a big differences from 6.8mm (on Galaxy S6) to 9.6mm (on the HTC One M9).

                                        5. Infact, the heart rate sensor on the Galaxy Note 4 are pretty accurate. I was at the doctor earlier and did use my heart rate sensor before the doctor used his measurement tools. Both readings did show the exact same heart rate.

Take a look at this to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01SxV6uN-98

                                        6. That's the biggest lie of the year. Get your facts together before you spews out tons of rubbish. Thank you.
