Sadly, all of these share the same 'CON' to me: Either too big or has crappy specs. Z3C is kinda close to what I'm looking for, but still a bit too big (they should've kept Z1C's screen size and shrink the body instead of the other way around), and too expensive (not too expensive for the specs, but for my need and budget).

Your article says that the Z Ultra is waiting for Andoid L, but it's had L for a couple weeks now. Of course the GPE version has had it even longer.

shabz, 05 May 2015Ohh I see here its around 130 £ yeah, if it were £130, it would be a good deal as its better that £150 moto g in every way other than screen.

There's a few gaping mistakes with this Buyers Guide.

Firstly, the omission of the Alcatel Idol 3 (5.5) is a big no-no. It was on sale last week for $199 unlocked with plenty of space. Even The Verge reviewed it and scored it highly.

Also the Sharp Crystal is another nifty device that's several months old. However, it can be found really cheap. And it makes the Moto E and Moto G seem like a joke.

How about the OnePlus One 64GB. That's available indefinitely now, and is one of the de facto Android devices. Omitting it shows a lack of insight.

                                And lastly the SONY Z3.
It has slight update to the SoC, but it makes a noticeable impact in responsiveness and battery management. The screen is MUCH brighter and more accurate. It also uses much less power. The speakers in the Z3 are both clearer and much much louder. The camera's are similar but not same, Z3 is slightly better. There's some ergonomic improvements too, plus its both thinner and lighter. The Z3 is a big upgrade over the Z2 because of all these small things, but the biggest being the SCREEN and BATTERY LIFE. The Z2 was WAAY behind the competition in terms of screen, and average at battery life. The Z3 is in the top class for screen, and undisputed leader in terms of battery life and speakers. The Xperia UI is very clean, close to AOSP but looks decent and has many useful features. And the Z3 has its own tree in the AOSP, like a Nexus, meaning it will be supported for a long time officially and community, and will be one of the first to receive stable updates.

The SONY Z4, is now dubbed the SONY Z3+.
It adds some improvements over the Z3, but not like the Z3 did to the Z2. It may not be bleeding edge like the Z3 was but its still cutting edge technology.

"Why is 'X' not on the list?"

Quoted in the review: "While we strived for offering a variety of options, it's important to note that we only listed phones with wide availability - single carrier or single country phones did not make the cut."

                                        Read carefully, people.
