Great phone overall. I didn't like the fact that there was no camera button on the side like the Lumia 830. Not sure why they took that away but the pictures aren't nearly as nice as they could be. The have the bottom bar disappearing now which is also annoying. I've tried to lock the bar but it keeps disappearing anyway. I wish Microsoft would listen to people.

The Lumia 640 does NOT have NFC function! Also, the USB-cable is fixed, not detachable at power adapter. Two BIG faults, you made!

Out of the Windows phones I've owned I'd say for the price range it's one of the best ones. thumbs up great cameras an battery is wonderful when it says all day beleave it

not the phone I expected it to be, slow internet connection and keeps dropping out and freezing will go back to Android when contract is up for renewal. Very disappointed in this phone.

I used to own apple iPhones. The screen cracked very easily on the iPhone and following 3 repairs it became obvious that somebody was controlling the replacement glass market as th prices went through the roof. So instead of buying a new iPhone or replacing screen I purchased the lumia 640 lte. I am over the moon with the lumia. It looks super feels very good has simple operating technique and is very quick at switching between apps and Internet. It cost under 100 Gb pounds from amazon and I am totally satisfied. Well done Microsoft it is simple clean and user friendly.

I only purchased it just to see if I could deal with Windows OS.
I highly recommend to a virgin user, it purity lies in its simplicity.
I was able to absorb in a 2 hour peroid, enough basic knowledge to reap 80% of the devises benefits and short comings. Not to be said about my Galaxy Note 3, which after almost 2 years and 2 software upgrades and countless updates, I have yet to fully master.
It is a million or so apps shy of Android but they seem to be growing daily. Android apps are starting to drift over to MS OS.
I have never hooked to a carrier and find it very useful as a personal assistant, reminder and mp3 player. Show me a good mp3 player for $59us.
Windows 10 coming along for it soon and then I will have a simple pocket device to my office PC.

And what ever is happening to you, does not happen to all the people. Me, for example. First check what exactly are the apps you are using, do you have a memory card? Look at the quality, samsung evo are quite good and do not force lag the device. there are a lot of things you can do, but well, you probably don't know to much about technology, so let me put it this way: Sony aqua m4 priceed at 240 euro is slower and laggier then the 640, crappy battery and unstable having a lot of problems cause of it's system. Wanna buy a 120 euros android? be my guest! Then, you will understand what exactly you have in your hands, if you have one, for that matter.

The lumia 640 is a really good phone with lots of functional benefits .....connectivity is really good especially when on the move with biz and pleasure oriented optics .....those are my favourites and biult-in GPS lightning fast 4G even in low reception ....3,5G is still very excetible.....

I regret the day that i bought Lumia. I also know five more people that also HATE the Microsoft software system. As first aplications are extremely bad, unpractical, ugly. As second thing my cell phone is already getting blocked at a moment, or he just exits an aplication in the middle of doing it. Ok, yeah, camera is great and battery toi etc etc. But i cannot use it properly because of the software system!! I can alsi say that online i am trying to sell it, but i cant. You know why? Cause there are tens of other people trying to sell it also old just two months. We are all very unsatisfied!!

csp, 27 Jun 2015Haay I read some bad reviews on flippant they say that lumi... moreNo it's not true. I dropped mine plenty of times not a scratch on the screen. The shell on the other hand........ Well it can oh so easily be replaced. Also it doesn't heat when charging. Or ever to be honest.

If no then yea it's a good phone for like idk wealthier people who don't have time for social media. Like seriously really good phone but they never really update anything on time and if you like gaming on your phone it also kinda sucks. You can find good games if you look hard enough.
