GSMArena.com turns 15: A video trip down memory lane

15 June 2015
Remember the times when the most exciting feature of your new phone was the number of pre-installed ringtones? Or the times when we measured storage by the number of entries the phonebook would take?

Congratulations!!! It has been a huge success I can say, and we look forward to more years of this arena's existence. More power to GSMarena, to all the people behind this and wish You Guys All the Best. All these phones bring back memories that are surely a part of the world's history.

The video brought back old memories. Back then phones used to be exciting . Sad to see many of those old stalwarts loose market share.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY dudes and dudesses. GSMarena has been my arena while wanting to info hunt on any phone or tab since .. hmmm..lemme remember... 2006/7. I have referred tour reviews again and again while decising ona new phone for my friends. I rememeber in 2009 while in a mobile phone shop I quickly looke dup imp info about a phone while making a last minute decision.

And ohhh man, that Cominicator, it still makes my heart leap like seeing an old flame suddenly walk past in front of you :-)

Great post!!! Would love to see a follow up post of how GSM Arena got started (Roots in Sofia, Bulgaria now with a branch office in Queens, NYC?). It would be a great inspiration to many tech publisher Nubies just getting started.

GSMarena.com is simply the best. I have been using this since i started learning internet browsing and that is over 8-9 years. Whenever i have any query about any kind of phone, this site was my first target. Youtube.com has recently been posting live video reviews but i still prefer this site because of the detailed specifications it provides including the hands-on review, review and sometimes preview. I have bought many phones by the help of the comparison options in this site. Amazing for going thru 15 years. keep it up

The list is lacking some seminal stalwarts like the N95, K750 and T600.
