Moto G (3rd gen) review: Good as gold

06 August, 2015
It is hardly a surprise that the third generation Motorola Moto G is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2015. After all, in less than two years after the first iteration of the smartphone (Moto G became the most successful phone in the company’s history) made its debut, the Moto G product family has successfully redefined what a budget Android handset should look, feel, and perform like and how much it should cost.

"Plugging in a pair of headphones has a rather disastrous effect on stereo quality with crosstalk rising to very high levels.", no stereo at all when using headphone is extremly bad, and the reason why I will never buy Moto G (3rd gen)!

The only problem for this Moto G 3rd gen is that it offers performance that is way too similar to the 2nd gen Moto E. Basically if a better screen and camera are necessities for you, then spend the extra $80, otherwise, the Moto E is plenty enough for a normal user.

There are many other improvements here..
I am using it r8 now..
              Improvements:
              1. Wall charger now provided with usb cable. It has two jack for charging two phone simultaneously.
2.Lot more lighter than 1st or 2nd gen.
3.I think notification light is not needed because of the smart display notifications.
              Cons:
1.I dont know that is my moto g is faulty or not but yellow seems greenish in fluorescent light with the back camera. But the same picture is ok with the front camera. Please @Gsmarena give more details about the camera.

mohsinj, 06 Aug 2015i am still confused to go for Moto G or Zenfone 2. One has... moreFriendly advice: forget about specs. If you can, go into a store and try to play with both phones.
And the reason I'd go with Moto is the near stock Android experience. Zenphone is heavily skinned and thus more unlikely to get updates. That and the better battery life on the Moto G.

Dude don't go for the Zenfone 2. I sold it a few days ago to buy the Moto G 3rd gen. I regret buying the Zenfone 2 . I had a very negative experience with it even if it worked fine and all, I didn't like using it. My original Moto g 2st gen was a great experience though. Therefore, I decided to opt for the 3rd gen Moto G. These are my words of advice for you.

Finally! A version of the Moto G that provides great battery life! It's the only thing keeping me from buying previous generations. Also liked the Moto E, but nobody's selling it in the PH. Moto G is very accessible though, so that's a big relief considering this upgrade.

i guess its not the standard GSMArena review, as the photos are taken in a different place and there is no video sample posted. i guess the proper camera comparison should be updated later!

This review is too short. Some keypoints are missing (i.e. camera,). GSMArena please update.

Please note that the inclusion of a wall charger is also a step up. Till now Moto G has shipped with only a USB cable.

[deleted post]1gb/8gb version costs 199 euros in the Netherlands. So I expect the 2gb/16gb model to cost max. 250 euros over here (if and when it comes out at all).

i am still confused to go for Moto G or Zenfone 2.
