AnonD-265341, 22 Aug 2015A very good phone, nice work Samsung Poor battery? It got 10 hours better than the Note 3. I can understand you dislike it not having a removable battery or sd card, but the battery life is better than the Note 3 at least.

I have been using Samsung since Duos, s3,S4,now note 3. Was really happy with s3 and note 3. I was waiting for note 5 to change from note3. Not any more. Poor battery, no SD card. Sorry samsung. I will now try iPhone 6 +. Yes I will miss stylus. Only if note 5 had bigger battery and SD card.

kakouille, 22 Aug 2015''The same as the note 4",are you blind? He might have a point. I used GSM Arena's own comparison tool and juxaposed both the Note 5 & Note Edge. I could find only very minor differences. Maybe the processor is very slightly better on the N5 and the front camera. Other than that, I still think the Edge has the edge (pun not intended). So that does it. I'm getting the Note Edge, not the Note 5.

I concur with all the negative comments below
The ONLY reason I'm still considering this device is the stylus functionality and Samsung Pay.
Can anyone tell me - are any other manufacturers coming up with a similar secure payment system that doesn't rely on NFC / tap card readers?
I need a reason to turn my back on Samsung - can't support bad ideas any longer :S

This is beginning of end for Samsung...Taking away key features (sd card, removable battery) ...(Moto x style with it's competitive price and specs will beat note 5 any day) in flagship phones..Not launching Good budget phones like Moto g 3, Asus zephone or mid rangers like Moto x play or one plus 2...
Samsung better start manufacturing washing machines again

Angry Mobile Nerd, 22 Aug 2015Sorry GSMArena but your new gallery format has got to be on... moreBut it is sleek and beautiful so it more than justifies the trade off... :-D
That's the new fashion - make things "beautiful" and less usable...

I would take even note4 with double battery(so it would last 2x of awesome note4 batt life) but considering what can I expect next year, its no longer possible to be fan of that note (from samsung). Its almost symbol of long lasting, and they give it hi-price materials with no point if its sealed in protection kit or secondary powerbank. Good bye S notes, welcome other notes.

They should have called this a "Note 4 Neo" (for lower class/variant).
Well, anyway, I can't wait to get my hands on my brand new NOTE 4 next week! =D Hehe!

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2015In store models usually have heavy demo software installed.Whenever I play around with a store demo unit, I always initially reset the unit before tinkering with it. I hate other people changing different settings of the phone before I get hold of it.

This phone has traded usability for looks. For this particular phone this was not a good pathway. This phone was originally marketed towards people that need greater capabilities from their phone for actual work. Extra storage became necessary and a larger battery.
The obvious counterpoint being stated is that well the battery is doing better than Note 4, but imagine if they actually did innovate a little and include that larger battery. At the end of the day you might not have needed to charge the phone for night time use even after a day of heavy use.
The other thing is that at a certain point the battery will start to become obsolete particularly due to the usage this phone is expected to take. Users here are again disadvantaged.
This phone is a step back rather than a step forward.
