Samsung Galaxy Note5 review: The 5blet

21 August, 2015
As the fourth successor of the product that defined what a phablet should be, Samsung Galaxy Note5 is arguably the most radical release in the product family to date. The newcomer marks a noteworthy departure (no pun intended) from all of its predecessors in terms of both design and available hardware features...

Super Amoled doesn't have infinite contrast; the contrast is 10,000:1.

I guess there is no UV sensor, the heart rate sensor is more like Galaxy S5 or Alpha heart rate.

I love how they praise the all metal design with no removable battery and tell you it elegance is a great trade off. But they also tell you a case is highly recommended. So who care how pretty it is if you cant see it. Saw one at tmobil from the front looks just like my note 4. Me personaly would rather have a removable battery and sd card.

I always believe in the hardware of every Samsung flagship but I tend to lose my interest when I see the quality. But now... Everything Here is phenomenal, topnotch performance and camera and of course the overall construction of the smartphone making it a TRUE FLAGSHIP device.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2015this is one hell of an expensive phone for an android phone... more''The same as the note 4",are you blind?

The weird thing is, we aren't talking how Samsung has made this less of a Galaxy Note.

AnonD-90109, 22 Aug 2015That in itself is unacceptable for a $800 smartphone. That's only the case with store models. They are loaded with a lot of software to show off the phone. The actual 32gb phone comes with roughly ~24 gigs left to the user. There are things that Samsung screwed users with but they're not the only ones that include system usage onto the memory capacity.

Increasing cpu performance while decreasing battery capacity is not scientific, well u relied on 14nm technology but look at the result, Note4 has longer endurance. It's backward nnovation, why u tend to follow iPhones?

Corporate buggers do that, just to keep afloat and keeping people's demand in a confined state.

Samsung Mobile power management engineers are very good but they FAILED on Note5.

Sorry GSMArena but your new gallery format has got to be one of the dumbest most non-user friendly ones on the internet plagued with loading and browser compatibility issues. It's a freaking U/X disaster.

                                Huge step backwards. Congrats.

I have note 3 currently and waiting for note5 announcement. before upgrading my device. But from the looks of things, spec wise and Generally, I will be upgrading to Note4 and hope that samsung corrects their mistake on Note6.

                                    What really turned me off:

                                    1 No IR Blaster
                                    2. No Expandable Memory.
                                    3 No removable Battery

Apart from the Above Mentioned........Note 5 is a Beast to reckon with In the Smartphone World. I must Admit That. And If you are a hardcore user of smartPhones, You will understand where I am coming from.

I will not consider this device a new note device they can call "Note 4s" in addition to that removing options which customers are in need for it as in Note 4 & Note 3!
Samsung must make something huge in Note 6 or will loose more customers & more low profits!
Will keep on my Note 4! I think who owns note 4 will feel the same!
