zzero, 24 Aug 2015I totally understand you, but not everyone has 15 GB data p... moreI wasn't calling you a Samsung hater, I'm more referring to the vast amount of criers that this phone is junk because of two features that the majority don't use anyways.
I'm networked to my desktop which is on 24/7 as a server at home and I can swap any program, video or whatever I need from anywhere I am on the road. To me it's annoying having to take off the case & back everything I want to change out a card or battery.
But I see your argument of having to pay more for data and all that. 3 phones with 15GB data is around $200, but I think that's a good price since I doubt I'll get close to the limit with WiFi Hotspots everywhere anyways. But all I all I do like the phone and so that's just my opinion.

AnonD-122899, 24 Aug 2015Regardless, before iPhone 4, do you see Samsung making such... moreTwo things are pathetic. The OEM which follows Apple's design (again, I am not saying Samsung or any other OEM copies Apple, but it's opposite. but still everyone wants to design like iPhone), and then they actual Apple sheep.
Everyone likes to make profit, so why not Samsung, they are trying to maintain iPhone like design in thought that the phones would sell well. But the main problem is, they don't seem to understand that we Android/ Samsung users don't count Apple as anything other than the actual fruit!
Samsung has to be much more bold and confident with their phones. If they can't trust their own design then I have nothing to say.

next year will be bottom 64GB+sd or 128GB, because there are already 300GB phones, so nothing new. Will be "interesting" to watch like they will always put there a memory trendy 2 years ago.

I know there's loads of people who think that what Samsung has done (in ditching the SD Card slot and having a sealed battery) is the way forward, but the Note series went "backwards" to a stylus and has made it "trendy" again. Why alienate all the customers who wanted the note for the very features Samsung has now removed? The same folks who are saying that just a handful of "power users" want these features are conveniently forgetting that the same "power users" wanted a stylus back when the note gave us one. Given my usage, I will have to stick with the Note 4 and hope that the Note 6 addresses my concerns.

Heres a few ideas SAMSUNG..guaranteed success:
1.Make the memory jumps less pricy like 30-40$ for the next higher variant.
2. Want to keep 2 options for memory.. Screw 32 gb...4k videos and 16mp snaps arent meant to be kept in a measly 32 gb..
Make 2 variants 64 & 128 gb...makes more sense..
3.MOST IMPORTANTLY :Instead of a regular version and an EDGE variant of your flagships... Make a SEALED BACK premium version (dont care edge or regular)..
And a REMOVABLE back version for all the people still needing it(keeping rest of the specs same)...
This makes way more sense...and it caters to every customer..

AnonD-122899, 24 Aug 2015C'mon.... Do you actually believe the BS are they sacrifici... moreIm defending it cause it satisfies all my needs from my next smartphone.. Im sure it doesnt for many.. But it does for some.. And I was looking forward to the day when samsung made proper flagship looking phones... Remember the ugly s3? It looked like a cheap midranger..
You made some good points regarding the memory thing... Maybe this is an intermediate stage of their ufs 2.0... Maybe in future they will figure out a way to integrate sd card and make it superfast...
And note:
I defended it for the non removable back cause its what 90% people are using.. And maybe sammy wants to tap into that crowd rather than the 10% (power users as they call themselves) who want removable backs..call it a slap on the face or just the way forward.. It isnt as bad as you think... (I dislike the non expandability too.. But I suppose nothing truly is perfect)
And true.. The whole memory thing is similar to apple ..but Im sure if they could have ...they would have added sd card..They are trying to be like apple but only better in every way ... So sd card would've been their way of beating apple in yet another section..but they couldnt add it..maybe they should figure that out by note 6 or S7 .. Lets see

AnonD-122899, 24 Aug 2015Have you ever wonder why all these brands are not having re... moreYou are right in your own viepoint.. Why follow other brands and make it locked.. But thats what a huge lot of consumers looking for ( premium look and feel) ..well unfortunately they aren't the samsung fans... But perhaps they thought maybe its better(profit wise) to seek the consumers looking for all the things they offered ...instead of the consumers looking for the two features they used to.. And time will tell if its a smart move or not..

Dear Samsung.
Why is the Note 4 better than the Note 5?
Why does the Note 4 have 32GB internal memory and can take a memory card up to 128GB?
While the ALL NEW Note 5 only has a 32/64GB internal memory, WITH NO MicroSD slot? Why does the Note 4 have a 3220mAh battery, while the Note 5 has a 3000mAh battery? Are you trying to lose loyal customers?
Is that how you want to end 2015 and start off the new year of 2016, with customer breaking away to other brands?
Feeling like Samsung is just another wannabe Apple..?
This is getting pathetic.
Not to mention that the Note 5 isn't going to South Africa.
People are pissed.
Fix your phones and stop being Apple wannabe's.

"The newcomer marks a noteworthy departure (no pun intended) from all of its predecessors in terms of both design"
Seriously? Tell me GSMarena what is so new about this design?
It might have different materials but that is "built", not "design".
In terms of design it is EXACTLY like any other Note and and Galaxy I have seen.

AnonD-122899, 24 Aug 2015Regardless, before iPhone 4, do you see Samsung making such... moreThat's because Apple is led by Designers and Engineers. Every other company is led by people who don't know anything about designing or engineering. That makes a major difference for a company. Which is why Apple are amazing at what they do.

AnonD-430264, 24 Aug 2015Posting on the Note 5. For all the haters, it's a great pho... moreI totally understand you, but not everyone has 15 GB data plan abd i would totally prefer to pay 20$ once for a card rather than paying every month the card price to my carrier, why is everyone thinking like apple people? Pay more for data plan, pay for battery changing, pay for extra internal storage that i can't easily transfer in 1 sec to my next phone, lose cloud signal on the trip while downloading or trying to view my files, I really don't see the advantages, maybe I'm a fool I don't know...
And just in case, I'm not a samsung hater, but the opposite, I owned 4 Samsung devices in the last 2 years.
