So the ugliest phone has the slightly better camera.. Cool!

All I care about is dim light photography, because this is common situation while takinng pics indoor. And mor commonly even flagship phones fail deep.
In brght daylight most quality are OK, the differences is slight.
So for that matter I think wizlag S6 is my choice preference.

[deleted post]no it's not.the results are genuine and that is why my iPhone is going on sale.and I have already ordered a z5.I knew dxomark had already said z5 has the best camera ever with fastest autofocus ever with best image stabilization ever.but just waited for some samples and user reviews. saw my friend's z5 beat my iPhone and a s6 easily.z5 has MIND BLOWING DYNAMIC RANGE,EYE SPLITTING MASSIVE FIELD OF VIEW,HUGE SENSOR FOR ZOOMING,FASTEST AUTOFOCUS,best image stabilization.what more do you want?as a apple fan,it hurts when a iPhone latest Gen is not the best...but the truth is truth-z5 has the best camera on planet WITH THE BEST AUTO MODE.

Ackom, 23 Oct 2015The camera for all 3 phones are acceptable for me and will ... moreexactly.the dedicated hardware shutter button is a distinct advantage of z5.so is the superior auto mode.if I want to take a photo at exactly right time-z5 has it for me as-whisk out the z5 from ur pocket-press and hold hardware camera button while pointing phone and subject-camera app opens,0.03 second autofocus kicks in and snap is taken before you blink.awesome stuff Sony.

The camera for all 3 phones are acceptable for me and will be happy with either one, however, the usability and the way the camera can be handled is something that I care alot, especially when I need to take photos quickly with default settings. In this case, the Sony Z5 has the advantage due to the dedicated camera button and the so called "superior auto" which I heard works well from several reviews.

Anonymous, 23 Oct 2015It's funny to see many people try to poke holes on xperia. ... moreIt was not really a blind poll. Almost everyone knew which was A, B and C. It was a poorly executed poll, and I would read nothing much into it.

They should have included the new v10, nexus 6p too. It would have been much better comparison like that

Shame you do not test also audio recording / manual shooting at night/dusk, as part of camera performance, results would be so different...

I completely missed the voting thing on here, but it was a good idea. So the Sony is overall the best camera. Nicely done for Sony.

I like very much that the angle on Z5 is so wide, but the image is too over-processed sometimes, especially in low light...

shooting time is different for s6 and iphone 6s...i think both camera bettar than z5...also z5 corner detail r very hazy

There IS one easy way to conceal Xperia Z5 shots though. Maybe move up closer to compensate for the difference in FoV, but then that would give the Z5 a huge advantage over the other two in terms of resolved detail

7h39, 23 Oct 2015I don't think Sony Z5 is the best cameraphone.. yes, resolu... morez3compact was last year phone with a DIFFERENT SENSOR THAN Z5.Z5 HAS 25MP (BUT PHOTOS ARE MAX 23 MP-ref gsmarena) multiaspect real time hdr with HDR pixels with hybridutofocus(phase detection plus contrast autofocus) sensor.z3c is a simple 20.7 mp sensor with contrast autofocus.besides,z5 has fastest autofocus in world at 0.03 seconds according to Sony and Tested true by dxomark.

vrvly, 23 Oct 2015Sony's only 3 downsides are: bad control of manual mode wit... morez5 has ois.ois can be implemented by different ways-move the sensor with lens fixed(z5),move the lens with sensor fixed(apple, samsung) .apple,samsung,g4 go one way, sony does it the different way.so apple and sammy have huge camera bulge as lens is outwardly.z5 camera sits flush with the body-no bulge.because sony chose to move the sensor instead if the lens.and dxomark said-z5 had the best image stabilization ever tested.

Sony's only 3 downsides are: bad control of manual mode with also limited time of 1/8(?) ,then no OIS, DIS got the best but for 4k it means less detail and for foto higher iso, then its that image processing power thats so powerful it sometimes destroys details in images. Its like sony got best auto-shooter, but if someone wants more manual better are S6E+/note5/G4/V10/L950...all with OIS and even video-DIS.

Good job Sony, for once you actually do very good in a camera test. keep it up and maybe you can turn into proffit.
