iPhone 6s vs. Galaxy S6 vs. Xperia Z5: Monster Brawl

23 October, 2015
Some phones just can't be reviewed in a vacuum, the competition between them is so fierce – and their price tags so high – that they have to be compared against each other under a microscope to determine the best one for you. The Apple iPhone 6s and Samsung Galaxy S6 are joined by the Sony Xperia Z5 for this three-way fight.

Good Joke!! Sony is last? Dxomark scores Sony is best camera smart phone device and last night at Gsmarena poll Sony wins with almost every category!!.. So what you trying to mean with it GSMARENA.. Reviewers are Sammy and Iphones i guess.. i tried all 3 phones and i bet Sony is best among all 3!..
My honest review:
Rear cam
Day light - You can't mess with Sony, next is Sammy and last is Iphone!!!!
Low light - Iphone, Sony and last is Sammy!!!!

Front cam
Day light - Sony, Apple and Sammy!!!!
Low light - Apple, Sammy and Sony!!!!

But anyway if you want true hard core professional cam phone then guys go for Honor 6 Plus or LG G4!!!

the tech nerd, 23 Oct 2015Exactly what I thought, pretty smart of gsmWith all my respect, how did you know that Sony had more votes than Samsung or Apple ?
The comparison was a blind one where they didn't write the name of the phones .

      Overall: galaxy s6>xperia z5>=iPhone 6s.
The only issue with the s6 is that the camera lens is soo easy to scratch.

This time around Apple was clearly better. They have to create such a phone since the iPhone 4 days. It enrages me that it is nor taken notice by the "fair and balanced" people. It's only left to be praised by the usual Apple financed media (making it seem worse than it actually is). This iPhone is truly the best for years to come (3d touch, more ergonomic, much more quality alloy than last time and of course the best mobile processor of 2015).

So sad to get relegated to the level of that overheating PoS, Xperia Z5...

Sony has always had best overall quality, feature balance and styling, least production mess ups and has always been underrated.
          That's just an interesting fact.

Of course your well within your rights to have full brightness so its a valid concern I guess.

              [deleted post]That's true 👍

What about quality of phone call, reception and security. The rest is just marginal. We do make phone calls you know, and most of us dont spend all day on facebook or playing games. Security is most important, and in that regard Android is way behind the game and is dangerous for any Government or secure business.

Z5 for me, after they update the camera software as they promised it a clear winner imo.

Good gawd... re-do the tests with the Z5 in the default 8 MP mode. And the Z5 is the only one with stabilized HD video that can handle actual movement, like walking. OIS doesn't even come close.

On paper the Z5's camera trashes the other ones, but in real life situations it doesn't handle business like i thought it would. It is unbelievable how Sony hasn't managed to get the post processing part right.. Honestly the GS6 is probably the most well rounded phone of the 3 but the AMOLED tech is only good for 1 a year or 2 before it starts to have those annoying burn ins.. i stay away from that tech completely.. So this year i went for the Iphone 6S 128GB. It still looks great, has a reinforced frame, great camera, great eco-system, easy to use, and is the best performer out of the 3 even with a dual-core processor.. I haven't had an Iphone since the 4S so this experience will be fun.

Samsung galaxy s6...smartphone of the year 2015!

Galaxy S6 is clearly top spec phone hw+sw. Thing I miss in S6 the most is personal assistant and hw camera shutter. But there is 1 thing that I cannot forgive all of the andro/ipho phones: inferior audio recording to lumias. Play vidoe from 1520/... close eyes and listen, its fun to.

MrGray, 23 Oct 2015Man, what happened to the blind test results? Lmao! The Z5 ... moreExactly what I thought, pretty smart of gsm

It reflects the comment I already gave in the blind test thread .

Samsung deserves to take the lead . It has been the best overall performer .

Sony . They really need to up their game on the software side . I mean Comon !! . Iphone beat you with digital stabilization :/ .

6s still has a very decent camera as it snap very good images ( if not the best ) . Its been a consistent point and shoot snapper and works for majority of the crowd .

I have been mostly a Samsung and Sony user ( s5 now) . My wife been a Sony and Note user ( since N2) . She just got an 6s over N5 ( a break from phablets ) .

What I am glad about is that finally we are seeing the gap between these phone getting closer and closer . What a year 2015 has been ! .

One phone won a lot of these comparisons and then in the end GSMArena just disses out on pronouncing it the winner just so it can be diplomatic and not start a war... *Tsk Tsk
