And guess ... morei typed it.. burned in pixels! A thing that happens only on amoled displays.
I don't care if its brighter and has more pixels (you can't tell the difference between s5 and s6 anyway) when after a year there will be burned in pixels.
That's why lcd displays are better. It's about durability.

And as a technology Amoled is overall far superior and surpassing LCD at dramatic rates.
Amoled is becoming the next level.
And as much better as it looks in mobiles the bigger the display gets the more obvious its advantages become.

And guess what....last longer. Like the Note 4 for instance.
Explain to me how with a 5.7 inch QHD Amoled display that is also brighter than most it still has better battery life than most? Even 5 inch 1080p LCD devices that are not as bright.
And thats including light theme and web browsing.
Explain that....here. Yes Amoled requires more energy to display white but that is far from the only factore into.things.
The overall power consumption for Amoled is actually less than LCD.

Super amoled screens WILL suffer from pink burn in pixels after one year. I checked s6 and s6 edge at a booth in a store yesterday and they both had a few pink persistent icons on the screen (icons from the main screen) when you were looking at a white background. Also there was an annoying yellow tint too for some reason, can't say if that was a problem or just by samsung.
Sony Z3 had absolutely NO burn in pixels, and it was longer there than the s6 and the edge. My friend who wanted to buy s6 got disappointed, saying that he didn't expect to see that happening on such an expensive device and he is considering something that doesn't have a super amoled screen.
So no.. super amoled screens are NOT better than lcd. I couldn't believe it.. the samsung girl who was working there couldn't say a thing when i show it.. had to shut her nonsense mouth actually, and let me do the talking about it. a few people liked Z3 more after my talking.. didn't took long.
PS. I'll upload a video to prove it in youtube as soon as my ex visits me within the week. He has a moto 2nd gen able to record in HD, so we will have a walk back to the store.

Try finding definitive proof of who makes the glass for the latest iphones if you can. And you think despite not giving information of what they've done for the last couple years, they're going to tell people they are in talks with Samsung?
Apple themselves have said they are thinking about amoled however, namely their chief designer Jony Ive, who said their screens loom old in comparison. So you do in fact have evidence from both sides.

But the so can be set to accurate mode and is the most accurate display them.
You can adjust the Sony one too but is not as precise.

Sony was among the bests long time... moreActually while the iPhone display may be better calibrated on some things and the so has the overall best display and is the overall best phone.
The Xperia z phones are among the objective best and only ones that have the tech to come close to the galaxy and definitely beats out the iPhone
