OnePlus X hands-on: First look

30 October, 2015
At a press conference held yesterday OnePlus presented their third phone - the OnePlus X. The OnePlus X is a significant departure from the Flagship Killer mantra that followed the past two models. This time, OnePlus focused more on delivering a compact device that still retained a good deal of features and specifications but wasn't really a flagship device anymore.

Major drawback of this phone, for me, is that it has only a 16GB variant (though expandable). Would have loved if it had a 32GB variant too..But overall a brillaint phone!

Noel, 01 Nov 2015The X will get my money if it is a choice with the old OneP... moreReally the G3!?, you would rather pay more money for a phone with lower specs and which is last generation, plus it's a bigger phone so the G3 would fall into the OnePlus 2 comparison for a 5.5inch screen.

The point of the OnePlus X is that it is a 5 Inch premium design phone rather than a giant flagship killer like the OP2. the G3 should not be compared to this phone at all

AnonD-461571, 01 Nov 2015Drug dealers and drug seekers duh. no people don't pay with cash as often nowadays but touch debit/credit cards also exist and don't require a battery or software, piece of plastic and a chip which sits nicely in your wallet does the trick.

Some people think a phone has to be able to launch you to the friggin moon for it to be any good, there are easier methods of paying for stuff without needing to use your phone for that too.

So in short yes it does

i took the oneplus x yesterday in the colette 's shop in Paris .. i was like you, hesitating between the htc one a9 and the One Plus X.
for me One Plus X for the price , better cpu, and 3 G RAm and better battery
It looks " noble", luxury, feels strong and we can put two sim cards..

Also, the software in those phones is usually terrible and who knows if they even update the OS.
I'd rather accept lower specs to have a device with the guarantee I'll receive it in a reasonable time and that at least will be supported by the community, if it isn't by the maker.
And this is still miles ahead of a Moto G (the phone I'll buy if I don't get an invite), for about 50 euros more.
