OnePlus X hands-on: First look

30 October, 2015
At a press conference held yesterday OnePlus presented their third phone - the OnePlus X. The OnePlus X is a significant departure from the Flagship Killer mantra that followed the past two models. This time, OnePlus focused more on delivering a compact device that still retained a good deal of features and specifications but wasn't really a flagship device anymore.

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2015At least mount the 808 to match the xiaomi Mi4C, but they e... moreThe 808 isn't feesable for OnePlus. Compare this phone to every other sub $250 in the states and you're getting a killer deal. Blows the Moto G 2gb RAM out of the water, it's only $30 more and you get so much more. 1080p AMOLED display, an extra gig of RAM, a more powerful cpu/GPU (yes it's lacking a 64-bit chip, would have been super sick is OnePlus and Qualcomm made a new 801 that was 64-bit) way better build quality, option of capacitive buttons or on screen (I prefer on screen buttons any day of the week)

Anonymous, 31 Oct 2015its 2 years old chip.... wow... old flagship killer??? They didn't call this phone a flagship killer. It would have be sweet if OnePlus worked with Qualcomm to make the SD801 a 64-bit chip that supported DDR4.

AnonD-329985, 30 Oct 2015LG G3 is a better phone at the same price with OnePlus x....Yeah the G3 has it beat in resolution, v battery, NFC and also removable battery. Where can you get a new LG G3 for $249? I have a D850 in my room except the screen is broken and it doesn't register touch. LG said $50-100 to replace the screen. It would be sweet if the OnePlus X had a custom SD801 that was 64-bit and the RAM was DDR4.

Anonymous, 31 Oct 2015No nfc no buy! Seriously who pays with cash these days?Literally, over 99% of people do not use their smartphone. It won't be popular until you literally don't need a wallet anymore, which won't be anytime soon. At least another 5 years.

Looks like a sony Z series phone with a
i phone style metal frame used.
                  Seriously this is copying.

Well anyway i like the phone. Snapdragon 801 will atleast be powerful enough for the next 2-3 years.
Snapdragon 801 is still better than even midrangers snapdragon 615 /617.
                  Good move by one plus.
                  They understood the market well.

seprate slots for microsd card and sim card should be there
if you are taking 17000 bucks then use common sense that basic need to be fullfilled
and this is basic common sense.

This or Honor 6 dual-sim with 32 GB ROM and NFC (h60-l12)? Both should have android 6 update while Honor 6 has the advantage of separate sd card slot and dual sim slots. On the other hand Honor 6 apparently is having some problems with HD Voice while having a 2g phone call in the same network - any comments on this? Or the "third way", safe but necessarily the fastest solution - Moto G 3rd dual-sim? What would you recommend?

                              Best regards

Much likely my next phone. A perfect combination of iPhone 4s and iPhone 5s design with compactness and Display as of the Galaxy S4. Camera is also great with ISOCELL Sensor.
And what's more an attractive price tag!

Likely my next phone, it has the best balance between power and design for 250$. I don't need fingerprint scanner or NFC.
