Sony Ericsson K810 review: A Cyber-shot is reborn

14 March 2007
When it comes to cameraphones, the words K800 Cyber-shot always seem to come to mind. The time has come to finally forget it since the famous cameraphone has received a successor in the face of the spanking new Sony Ericsson K810. The same exciting 3.2 megapixel camera packed into a slimmer body and a brand new design.

How can making a phone smaller make it a waste of time? Only people that have a K800i will be a bit peeved. I never got the K800i cause it was too thick.

      Problem solved.

Also A2DP is on, it wasn't on the K800i. And for the love of god, who uses IR anymore, could have had something else instead of using the space.

Also I agree that Nokia release phones over and over that are the same... look at every "i" version that comes out!

Wots up with SE? They just seem to put an old phone in a new shell and hope for the best. They've done it with the W880 as well. I sell phones for a living and aside from the appearance there is next to no differance between the SE W850 and the SE W880. If fact the 880 is worse because it doesnt have a radio! I am expecting the same from the k810 compared to the k800. SE have done this before as well. Anybody remember the T68 and its replacement the T68i? how about the T610 and the T630? come on SE boo your ideas up and release a NEW phone.

              Scythe
But the N73 is a Symbian phone with is much slower and more instable than the K800 for example. In terms of non-OS phones, SE is the only one capable of such powerful multitasking.

to U2TE:of course there are a lot of phones actually that can run more than 3 java apps.on example would be my n73...

There is no other brand who can multi task 3 Java applications at once, yet you continually criticise it.

if i'm correct those are exactly your words.

I don't get how you can get 'bored' of the SE UI. Whilst it hasn't really changed dramatically since the K750, it still is the best non-OS UI out there today. There is no other brand who can multi task 3 Java applications at once, yet you continually criticise it.

And it remains very easy to use.

Looks a tiny bit better than the previous model, but that's about it...Think i'll stick with my silver k800i for now.
PS- can't believe the video resolution STILL hasn't been changed...SE seriously need to sort this issue out.

nothing special here.i bet those new functions (although few) can be achieved at the k800i with a firmware update.or by installing a k810 software on it (if it works - like installing w800 software on k750)
