I´ve been using Samsung Note series since its very 1st edition. Note 5 is definitely a hell of device. But WTF, its battery life SUCKS. My Blackberry Z30 lasts about 1 and half day with a moderate use ... My Note 5 barely lasts 10 hours without a charge. I am really disappointed with Samsung. You pay big money and they f...k you. What kind of tests gsmarena did to point Note 5 as a winner in battery category. I had a 6S Plus as well and I guarantee its battery is mmuucchhh better. Shame on You Samsung.

The Lumia 640 XL did extremely well for a £160 phone, considering the competition are £400+ (Galaxy Note 5) and £600+ (iPhone 6s Plus) phones.
It may be Windows powered, but you are getting a lot of phone for the money, and for some, Windows will do most, if not all that they require.

Note 5 ftw. Didn't think it would be that significant, but the s-pen has been way more useful than I had originally assumed it would be.

My 950 XL battery life is fantastic.
Usually close to two days.
I don't think I remember this kind of life on any of my high-end Androids.

vrvly, 21 Jan 2016I expected more from L950 but since its business model I do... moreI have recorded around 1 hour and 10 minutes of UHD video on my 950 XL. Phone got reasonably warm, but that was about it. Used around 48 % battery. It was about 23 GB in size, and it was recorded on a micro sd card. It could have kept recording, but I stopped it because I wanted to use the phone :)

The iPhone is a great device, but it's a step behind the Note 5, which does everything and iPhone does, does it just as well, and does a whole lot more besides. Plus the hardware is better (better screen, better camera etc...). The iPhone does have better standby time, but actual usage time, the Note 5 is slightly better by most metrics, but not enough to really worry about.

As a bonus, in addition to class leading performance, I also get a better camera and display than the iPhone, along with the unique and supremely useful S-Pen.

Welcome to official samsung fan website.
For me most important is performance. That's why none of the samsung phones or microsoft phones will match iphone 6s plus. You can brag about +1 pixel -0.1 db but at the end its everyday use what make a difference. And difference in performance is huge.

Windows is the worst os. Do you know why windows phone doesn lag? Because it doesnt have many applications like droid/ios.
The problem in windows pc is: if one app freeze (or hang), it often freezes your entire pc. You have to press the reset button to recover it.
That kind of thing is never happen to unix based os (like mac and linux), in these oses you just need to kill the missbehaving app. It will not freeze your entire pc.
The sad thing is: both windows phone and pc are using the same kernel. In future, that kind of freezing problem will happen (if wp have many applications like ios/droid).
