Huawei Mate 8 review: Checkmate

27 January, 2016
The Huawei Mate 8 has dropped the Ascend badge, but it offers all the key pros of the Ascend Mate7 and then some. Coming a year after the Mate7, it was only expected that the Mate 8 will show maturity and address its predecessor’s shortcomings, most notably the poor graphics performance and the less than stellar camera output.

Good hardware but ruined by software. I don't get why huawei copy iOS design language. Do they fill proud copying iOS design insted following Material design language?

GSMA said there is some fix in the update also for camera
"the camera improved after an OTA update arrived the day after."
So i tried the photo comparison tools,

it now seems better than 6s+ :D

Nicely packed phone and very respectable but I can't see neither the phone or its SOC anything even close to a match for Samsung Exynos 8890.
Sorry guys but its just what it is.

So long A57, you've screwed a whole season of phones. Hello A72 and Kryo, glad to see great battery life and stellar performance come back!

which one last longer? Mate 8 or Nokia 1520. I would like GSMarena compares between Mate 8 and Galaxy A9. I think Galaxy A9 will has triple digit endurance too.

                  oh my.....
                  very good performance, amazing audio
and the battery endurance is impressive 103h
                  very well job done, Huawei.
But huawei said their handset can play 17 hours video and 20 hours browsing?
(i hope they can fix the camera with software update)

                    Finally, the long-awaited review!
