Motorola Moto X Play review: Time-saver edition

10 March, 2016
In many ways, the Moto X play is a sort of middle ground, half-step between the Moto G and the Moto X, but with a clear-cut stride towards the higher end of the scale.

Great work guys! I think it would be clearer if you put "heavier than" or "lighter than" above the weight percentile, for example. It's a small addition that wouldn't add any bulk to the structure of this new style of reviews, and it would make them even more understandable. Heading to the one on the V10 now!

Something is wrong with this review. The display has been praised so much and I myself have a Moto X Play and the display is definitely quite good. Yet the rating given is only 2.50/5.0.

Also the battery life deserves a rating of at least 3.0/5.0 if not more. The fact that the higher battery capacity makes the phone thick should come under the design factor. The point about a Turbo Charger not being supplied along with the phone was valid earlier but now the Turbo Charger does come along with the phone at a lower price.

It sure affects thickness, but shouldn't that only be factored in the design score?

The display score should've been a little higher. Rest all is OK with me. The battery should really be delivering more with that much capacity but then again the 615 chipset ain't the most power efficient in the market.

I'm assuming you didn't even read how these "time-saver" reviews work..it's not even being compared to the Note5

Something is wrong with the scores guys,
It's display, compared to that of the LG V10 (which has a score of 5) is better calibrated and with far higher brightness.
The battery life is also just 2 hours off that of the Note 5 which gets 5 stars.

This time saver edition should be called no brainer edition.Keep up the good work guys.

I think display, battery life and software scores should be higher. The display is even highlighted as one of the best features of the device.
