Extremly ugly and big phone, nothing new, under the pressure to make premium phone with aluminium and replaceable battery they failed...

You know what? You guys should try designing a smart phone from the ground up and getting the design, components, materials, machining, assembly, software, marketing and sales to hang together then repeat it every 12 months (plus the minor models launched throughout the year) and see how well you do. I take my hat off to LG for trying to do something bold and break out of the same-ole run-of-the-mill smartphone rut. OK so some things could be prettier, perhaps some material choices are questionable, but without innovators and their awkward first attempts where would we be? And it'll still be cheaper than an i-clone. Congrats LG, succeed or fail you're in a small bunch of manufacturers brave enough to give it a go and pave the way for others. Respect!

The lg g4 is way better looking phone. Anyway the modular design is appreciable. Also hoping that the U.x 5.0 will bring some goodies to the phone like better multi window and multi tasking features with more apps supported by it and this ux should be available for lg g4 also.

i dont like the philosophy of the modular design, i want to carry less than more- personally i prefer one good piece of hardware rather then extra battery, extra dac/amp(i got external dac/amps already/, extra camera unit - i got DSLR already

I think, LG is really smart to come up with their newest concepts for the G5. The team sure knows how to think out of the box. Everybody knows that almost all the top end phones now use premium materials like glass or metal, though it may end up enclosing everything permanently. But LG is just so smart to come up with a removable battery w/o compromising the materials for a premium phone. The design may not be ground-breaking to some, but how the phone is built, how the small details work and how everything work as One is for me rather impressive. As of now, I can't fully judge it yet, so I'm also excited for GsmaArena's future review of this Phone!!

Volume buttons on a side. A huge improvement, yet dactiloscopic sensor on the back isn't. Still. Something isn't right about design. Feels like 70's.

Pretty much excited about this
Finally some new features rather than refinements
Battery is fine if the software is optimised
Will definitely be on my list

The g5 might be a awesome phone in use, but IMO it is very, very ugly. The s7 design is rather boring, and htc m10 didnt impress either in the design department. 2016 is not the year of good design it seems, atleat IMO.
