HTC 10 review: Greatest hit

The HTC 10 is everything an HTC fan has been longing for. A full smartphone package experience without compromise. The problem with this idea is that it doesn’t exist, there will always be some phone with a better camera or better battery or a larger display. But we can always look at this idea subjectively and find the right balance between what the phone offers versus compromises you might be making.

              With my note 2 the only thing cyanogenmod really made faster was installing apps.
              And modified touchwiz with a good kernel proved much more useful.

Every device has it's flaw, no device is perfect. Samsung make great devices, amazing software optimisation for their system, but it so happens that TouchWiz is usually the bottleneck. If you slap on Cyanogenmod in a Samsung device, I'll admit, it will be the fastest device in the market. There is always room for improvement, and as of now, TouchWiz needs to be on Samsung's priority list, as it is the factor that pushes away potential customers. Alot of customers nowadays are seeking cleaner UI, less bloatware and reliability, in which TouchWiz lacks. Fix TouchWiz, and I assure you, Samsung will dominate the market.

                    Can anyone pls confirm which out of S7, HTC 10, LG G5 have 3 trays, i.e. 2 sim cards + micro sd slots?? Urgent pls.

                      I checked out the 10 at JB in Sydney today.
                      Absolutely outstanding. first-class in every way.
                      Feels, looks and behaves very solid. Best looking and feel in store in our opinion.

                          And while N will allow more it's still highly unlikely for others to quite match it. Technically speaking. However to the average joe they might not know the difference.

                          Your issue is the same as the rest of the deluded around. Speed test results. S6 blows all away. S7 basically at the top. Exynos one even holds most apps. S6/Note5 S7 Snapdragon reload apps.
                          OH MY GAWD TOUCHWIZ IS A DISASTER AND CANT MULTI TASK!!!!
                          Um......wow.....it reloads a few apps. Nothing more. Nothing less. Plain and simple. Has nothing to do with the real class leading multi tasking abilities. Has nothing to do with most of the other software. In no way discredits the speed of the device. Does not mean it does not actually hold some apps in average day to day usage. Does not mean the others don't actually reload a few in day to day usage at times.
                          Just simply that some apps in the ram reload. Flat out. Yet all you people sit there and make up all this unrealistic blabbering that it means touchwiz is terrible, cant multitask, and that it puts samsung so far behind.
                          Please actually try some logic here.

But Android N is now capable of split-screen multitasking, in which leads other devices able to do so. Other devices are slowly pacing their way towards better multitasking (windowed app, floating app, etc.), up until comes a time where all devices are capable of the same multitasking capabilities. All I'm saying is, if Samsung is not going to fix and improve TouchWiz, they're going to lose what makes it stand out amongst other devices.

But that is not true multi tasking. Ots a form but more switching. Its multi window abilities is true multi tasking

Yes, TouchWiz does offer great multitasking capabilities, such as split-screen multitasking and windowed applications. But it is not the best in doing so. Switching between apps is where TouchWiz lacks the ability to constantly hold onto apps without closing them, in which other android phones (even the cheaper ones) are more than capable of executing. Other devices are catching up, and they're catching up fast, if Samsung is doing nothing about it, their going to have a hard time competing. TouchWiz is 'jack of all trades, master of none' when it comes to multitasking.
