The audio figures in the test were not even as good as my LG G3 from years ago. 89 noise level and dynamic range in the 80's with average crosstalk figures on a phone that optimizes between left and right channels? Not buying it!
I listened to the HTC 10 against the G5 and GS7 and there is no way they were utilizing the DAC and other funtions available on this phone for this review. It just seems like they either didn't try it made up the results because this phone should compare to the V10 with the Hi-Fi enabled.

HTC competitors are not Samsung Galaxy S7 or LG G5. These 2 are in a different league IMHO.
HTC direct competition is Huawei P9. I would say that P9 is better as a phone.
The sale figures will confirm this: when you have a phone with the price of a top category but with low sales then it means it has nothing to do with that category (apart from the price).
Fan boys may debate on the boom sound subject but you can't listen to music if you don't have enough battery to finish the day. You can't speak about premium design when you don't have enough battery to start the phone after 2 PM. You can't speak about bigger pixels on the camera when a phone with much smaller pixels and identical aperture take much better pictures in any condition (LG G5).
How about the PRO mode of the camera ?!: I want to take a picture and the settings will fill the entire screen. What kind of camera design is that?
This to me is a weak phone and even placing in the same category with Huawei I believe it's too much.

It is simple like this. You have Ferrari ,Lamborghini and Porsche. There some people like Porsche and some Ferrari, some prefer Lamborghini and some prefer "Toyota" :P.If you like a Ferrari you can't say that Lamorghini sucks. So i like HTC, i had the HTC phones since the beggining of the smartphone era. I had Samsung and Iphone and Sony and some other ones. I tried everyone. And for me the HTC is the best. I don't says that other phones sucks. Samsung and Iphone they have great phones but i like HTC. Thats my opinion. :D

Got one from Taiwan, it's just solid, neat, straight forward. Nothing too fancy like S7 tough S7 is a great phone too.
Overall, HTC 10 is the phone of the year.
