No Hectacore CpU - No Buy.
No USB 5.1 - No buy.
No Sub-woofer - No buy.
No Siri - Definitely NO BUY.
All Chinese phones have these. One plus is fooling customers. In the age of Mars Missions, One Plus is still lagging far behind.

This phone takes less than 15 min to unlock the Bootloader, flash TWRP and root, try rooting your Note 5 and S7.
One of few phones with the 820 that can be rooted so easily and custom roms are already available.
It's also one of few phones that doesn't run a ton of mfg or carrier bloatware. HTC 10 has a ton of bloat and Samsung is a bloated messed.
Get this phone if you like rooting phones and Viper4Android working for me enjoy top audio.

It is really decent and I have been using it since a week and can easily last a day with decent usage. Added to it we have dash charging which is the best in class and can charge the phone from 0 to 60 in 30 mins.
Coming to the display, again not the best but will definitely suit to the most of the users. And also srgb mode is also on the works which will give added features.
I really like the night mode and dark mode in the phone which is really useful for me.
When people complain about not having 2K resolution, give me a strong reason to have it? Movies, games,?? Hell no.
For now there is no major benefits of having 2K screen apart from battery drain.
Finally when you compare this phone with other mid range competitors like ZTE, MI, you need to think about after sales support and updates and OP is best in class when compared to them.

Love this phone charged it 50 minutes from 2% and it got up to 93%!!

Let me explain why: You are right about the fact that 1080p is enough for LCD(LED is the same only different backlight), CRT but NOT Pentile AMOLED. Pentile AMOLED has a much lower pixel density at 1080p than LCD because 1 red and 1 blue subpixel is shared by 2 green subpixels which means that a standard LCD has 50% more pixels than a Pentile AMOLED. They are not even comparable. Anandtech.com has a very good article about the OnePlus 3.
