Sony Xperia XZ review: X to the Z

28 September 2016
Sony's latest flagship, the Xperia Z6 comes with refined design, improved camera, and a due update in specs. Wait, back up a little there - it's actually called the Xperia XZ this time around but, yeah, the rest of that is true.

As for the colour accuracy i repeat, manual options for this. Something no other company offered so far.

DenisXD, 07 Oct 2016display colour accuracy.. ok. Tell me where in real life ... moreWhatever dude. You're clearly full of **it when you don't even accept that Sony's triluminous displays are oversaturated. They just did their best to bring their displays as close to amoled as possible. but fell short in all respects, while also abandoning colour accuracy in the process.

AnonD-442781, 03 Oct 2016How is it objective though? It is still subjective. Unlike ... moredisplay colour accuracy.. ok.
Tell me where in real life you see 100% black.. even in pitch dark areas you see your eyes liquids and in very dark areas you still make out details.
amoled displays tend to make dark areas darker, and that's unnatural. Don't start with links and sht im talking about real life view, you never see 100% black it's that simple. Thankfully Sony displays are more realistic with less saturation and contrast, it might not be everyones cup of tea but real life colours aren't overstaturated.

As for Sony's display colour accuracy, last time I checked xperias have colour temperature settings, when no samsung gives that setting.
Meaning you can change the colour temperature to delta 6000, thus making xperias the most colour accurate displays.

Many of those who bash the XZ for only having 3GB RAM, saying that it should have more RAM, even if it doesn't impact the performance at present (but for 'futureproof"), are people that contradict themselves - many of them also say they don't care about the battery life cicle (a real futureproof feature) because they are changing phones after 1 or 2 years. If they are getting another phone in just 1 or 2 years, why do they need "future ready" RAM capacity? They won't use it. They are getting another phone when that "future needing more RAM" arrives. They would pay more today for something they wouldn't benefit now, neither tomorrow. Guess what, those are the same bashing the phone for being too pricey. But they want to change their flagship phones every 1-2 years, which, economically-wise, is the dumbest thing to do. Changing phones in 1-2 years may be the norm (and cheap) in USA due to telecom contracts, but in many other countries that doesn't apply, and paying for a feature you don't use, every 1-2 years, is not wise. Investing in a gadget only because its specs sheet is great, but you won't benefit from that, is a good definition for expensive.

Beautiful is the very definition of this device!
                        Except for the thickness... -_-
Z5 managed to get 7.3mm, this thing is supposed to be thinner... I think.
Still, I want this so bad!

I think the Sony phone that trully suits for young people is the Xperia Z5 Compact, because of its simplistic design and the yellow and pearl red color, although the Z5 compact is my phone and I'm not young, the reason I chose the Z5 compact cause 4.6 inches
