Lenovo Phab2 Plus preview: Behind the curtain

14 December 2016
The Phab 2 Plus revolves around a massive 6.4-inch 1080p display and a full metal body with a fingerprint sensor on the back. Also on the back is a dual camera system that produces shallow depth of field using the information from the secondary camera. There is no Google Tango like there is on the Phab 2 Pro (don’t let the name confuse you), but the Phab2 Plus is much cheaper than the Pro model so this should help put our expectations in check.

Hail to king of battery, Mi max 128gb 4gb ram user here. Camera is good at good lightning, below average for low light capture. Anyway I rarely use the camera.

AnonD-510098, 14 Dec 2016The chipset brings the whole phone down lmaoExactly, and the Phab2 Pro suffered the same way, the tuned S625 couldn't keep up with the Tangoing.

If both had better internals, they could've been great, Lenovo wasted so much potential here.

Totally agree with preview. I owned this device right after it was released in my country, returned after 3 days - LCD with inverted colours from angle, chipset is really slow (animations have been preset by Lenovo to 0,5x by default to fake the UI speed), photo like oil painting, uncomfortably sharp edges if laying in bed and holding the phone....really bad, don't waste your money for this stuff, worth of 100€, not nearly 300€. The only advantage is support of all european LTE bands (like B20). Now quite happy with with Huawei Mate 8 except of camera performance.

Hold up a minute... Is this a large phone or a tiny tablet? Because this is advertised as a phone but has tablet SoC (MT8xxx series a low powered chipsets for cheapo tablets). Why would anyone in the first place would decide this is a smart thing ? I mean, come on, even a Helio X10 is better than this crap.
