CES 2017: BlackBerry Mercury hands-on

07 January 2017
BlackBerry is nothing short of a legend in the mobile realm. The brand easily matches the popularity of other titans, such as Motorola or Nokia and is still synonymous with quality and enhanced security. The latter has been the staple of the Canadian company's existence, mostly as a trusted enterprise communication solutions provider over the last few years.

Somebody needs to find a way to chop off the top half of the display.
I wonder if nobody in the company said about the height of it.
      It looks very awkward.

This is what Kim K needs.

Nevertheless I don't like that is android!

Just round out the top corners like the bottom and you've got an absolutely gorgeous device. Too bad I bought a 128GB OnePlus 3T and plan on selling to get the OnePlus 4/5, otherwise this would be great to own.

The phone has a herniated look that might not be palatable for many.

I just hope this performs well as I am in love already. Screen estate does get affected but trade off with physical qwerty keyboard is acceptable anyday. Priv promised a lot but fell flat so fingers crossed for this!

I hope BB do give this phone a properly sized battery as well reasonable spec. Also important that they don't price it too high. Even though I have an iPhone, I miss my Q10s keyboard dearly. In fact barring the app gap between BB10 and Android I'd never have gotten rid of my Q10. Gutted that BB10 has died effectively now. I've never felt more comfortable or productive on a mobile device as I did with that software. Secure too.
