First day with my new phone, the cameras, finger print scanner, and even touch recognision on the screen are jokes - they might be acceptable for a phone a quarter the price.
Avoid this phone.

I'm using the gold version of galaxy a5 2017 as my basic fone.perfect fone for gamers, YouTube lover, multimedia lover. Almost flagship fone in midrange package. Only one complain is camera. Not seems like 16mp.

Cannot Encrypt Device... meaning I cannot read my corporate email on phone due to security restrictions. Should be a normal run-of-the-mill option on a higher end market phone!!

It's battery performance has improved, but still is ridiculous. A grave issue that have always have haunted LG, ever since the great G2. This is the only place they could stand their ground over the S8. Camera, screen and performance will be worse by default, price will be on LG's side in the near future. It seems that with the bundled AKG headphones and the exclusive to Korea DAC, Samsung will win the sound department too. But LG could beat them on the battery front, such a shame this phone won't have any advantage...

Why bother purchasing this in the UK when for £30 extra you can buy the OnePlus 3T which beats it in performance, camera, & battery life. Even the fingerprint scanner on the OP3T is more responsive. If the water resistance is the dealbreaker, bear in mind that the OP3T has stood up well to water tests.
