Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) review: Alphabet soup

20 January 2017
A 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display, 14nm Exynos chipset, a body made out of a glass/metal combo, IP68 certification, 16MP f/1.9 cameras front and back - it sure sounds like Samsung’s next flagship. Only it's not the flagship we're talking about, but the Galaxy A5 (2017) premium mid-ranger.

A recent Twitter post made by @Dgadgetin revealed the possibility of the presence of OIS in the camera, at least in the Indonesian unit. I have yet to hear anything from Samsung about this, though.

As the ex owner of Galaxy A5 2015, and current owner of Galaxy A5 2016, I can say there are improvements all over the place.
But, I'm still not sure about upgrade to A5 2017. Although, better front camera, always on display and some other cool stuff seems very atractive I´m not very positive about its looks. I like more square look of A5 2015/2016 over the rounded look of A5 2017.

Not liking the shape of the new A-Series. They are more like looking like their S-Line now with the rounder edges.

A5 and A3 2016 were much nice, these are ugly.

The HTC U Play is a much nice and better and handset.
