Lenovo P2 review: Charge & Go

23 January 2017
With or without a Vibe (in its name), the P2 is a Lenovo purebred and a worthy successor to the acclaimed midrange Vibe P1. It offers an even higher battery capacity fitted inside a thinner and lighter body. And when we say higher capacity, we mean some incredible 5,100 milliamp hours worth of battery juice.

anon4321, 27 Jan 2017Looks like something your grandmother would useDoesn't have amoled screen and 800 band. That means it's cheap, I would pay double price if it was amoled and had 800 band. Also snap dragon 820 is not energy efficient..

I can return my p2 to get redmi 3 but they even dont offer 800 band. doesnt that show they are cheap? also they still have ips screen and not amoled which was my complaint about lenovo vibe p1 where colors were so unsaturated. please everybody I m thinking of samsung A5 2017 model as its cpu also uses 14 mm tech and its web browsing endurance is 14 hours quite close to p2's 17... it is 5.2 and 150 g. I really need compact and 3500-4000 battery with full hd and amoled screen between 4.7-5.2 inch. any idea what? it can even weigh 180g I dont care as long as it fits to my small hands for one hand use..

Finally i got the result for the Lenovo 5000mah vs other model according to GSMarena standard. so i know how to judge the battery life .
actually GSMarena web browse result are : 10hours mean (2600mah-3000mah) , can use from 8am until 4pm will reach the critical period which is left only 1/4 or 25% battery . suggest buy model which is 4000mah & above to avoid find charging socket or bring the very heavy & ugly powerbank.

AnonD-496836, 25 Jan 2017Sd625 is better at battery saving than sd650Yes, you are correct. But i was thinking more about namesakes, that this model (P2) does not bear the "Turbo" moniker, unlike last year's Vibe P series.

The P1 Turbo differentiates from its predecessor P1 by simply adding another gig of RAM. So if Lenovo wants to continue the tradition of ridiculously minimum upgrade in order to bestow the "Turbo" moniker, why not the SoC this time. But since the SD650 runs on older 28nm, that is noticably Faster, but more Power Hungry, they would want to add Even More Battery capacity (they do so quite amazingly in the P2, especially how thin and light the phone is now).

That is why I said i wouldn't know how much more battery they can pump into this imaginary yet not quite necessary upgrade to the P2.
