HTC 10 evo review: The sea dragon

Good marketing is vital for a successful product. The HTC Bolt had a winning sales pitch - gold medal winning, that is. With Usain Bolt, the world-famous sprinter, advertising this phone for Sprint, it was an ad exec’s dream come true. But what of the HTC 10 evo? It’s the same hardware, but without the star power.

Great design but really stupid compromises: SD810, no 3.5mm jack, too big for me. Plus - overpriced for what consumers get out of box. But I would say that this phone is definitely better that U series which is complete fail.

If so... moreLook at the review...the 810 isn't fixed...they showed the "best" numbers that it managed before the thing heat up and throttled to which it states the phones performance dropped to near 50% of the values...which puts it well below the 625 and 650 even.

      SD810 might have been fixed. So it will not get hot. If so, phone ergo chipset is still good. It should have smaller price tag though. Meaning that 99% of people doesnt understand what Htc has done here. Sd810 is cheaper than Sn820, maybe Htc got it for free. If so whole assembly cost 70% less, probably made only a number of them. If they sell half of them they have profit. Nobody said SD810 was weak... On the contrary, it was powerful but not consistent. Thats it. If they fixed it, phone is completely okay. Top tier mid range i guess.

            Why is HTC shooting itself in the foot? Having phones with SD 400 and SD 810 in 2017? This company is legendary in the Android realm, having released the first Android ever, the first Nexus ever and creating gems such as the original One and M8 and others. Please don't go down the route of original Nokia and BB.

                Gsmarena didn't even mention SD 650/52 in the performance tab! Maybe to cover-up the embarrassment for HTC. Sd810 was a mistake, but using it when you've better choices is pure stupidity.

                    V20 better battery on 3200mAh.
