Nokia 6, 5 and 3 hands-on: A closer look

02 March 2017
We keep hearing “these aren’t real Nokias!” in reference to the Android-running trio. To that we’d like to say: that’s not entirely true and it doesn’t entirely matter either. Yes, technically, these are HMD phones wearing the Nokia brand.

Wow, some people just didn't read the article first. Amazing.

And second, to the people complaining that Nokia is not the real thing anymore: WHERE WERE YOU when the supposedly "real" Nokia was failing before?

Nokia is Nokia. Times change - deal with it, or be free to buy something else.

Intrested in the Nokia 5, not being super mobile CPU savvy Will the Snapdragon 430 outperform my HTC One (m7) and is a 720p screen vs 1080p that much of a big deal on a phone.

Since Lenovo messed up Motorola and their previous fast updates, these new Nokia's look to be a good replacement for Moto phones. I'm interested in the 6, very interested actually.

AnonD-599013, 03 Mar 2017These phones are real Nokia as real can get: HMD Global ... moreirrespective of where the staff are, as long as its Android its not Nokia. Nokia made more than pieces of electronics, they made OS's and software applications that shipped with those. Although I run an Android device or three now I still have my E-72 which is a better navigator with world maps loaded locally so I can use it even without a SIM ... there is so much different about these phones now that to call it a Nokia is simple deluding ones self. It is a shell of Nokia.

Great! HMD has got a lot right with these new Nokia's but the best thing is the pure Android experience you get with the Pixel launcher. Can't wait for Nokia's flagship......

If they have this kind of build quality at that price I'm curious when they're releasing their upmarket models. They could be a real threat for OnePlus if they keep this up.

It looks promising. But I am still waiting for a model with more horsepower under the bonnet.

Carl Zeiss lens and ClearBlack were one of the key features of Nokia, if you remove them you do have a phone with nokia logo snapped on it, I am not against the phones bur why not have these features in the 1st place, and not having a polycarbonate body does not give you a nokia
