Nokia 6, 5 and 3 hands-on: A closer look

02 March 2017
We keep hearing “these aren’t real Nokias!” in reference to the Android-running trio. To that we’d like to say: that’s not entirely true and it doesn’t entirely matter either. Yes, technically, these are HMD phones wearing the Nokia brand.

Nokia is not the real Nokia anymore and Microsoft make sure of that they cut it into bond of pieces trust me, they will never be the same again. In my country which is Philippines Nokia is still have the impact of their name because they are still a legend , and many Filipinos buy a product just because of the brand and don't care about the chipset as long as they love it, so for sure if Nokia start selling it in ph it will literary sell like a hotcakes because of nostalgia

Anonymous, 03 Mar 2017Nokias phones were made in Finland! These HMD phones have n... moreYeah! These are HMD's smartphones but true to Nokia spirit.

Did you watch the Nokia-HMD-Withings announcements at MWC 2017 last Sunday (check out Youtube)? These companies announced their products at the same time and on the same stage.

This means that Nokia and HMD have close relationship.

Nokia will use HMD's retail stores to market its Withings (soon to be rebranded as Nokia Watches) smartwatches in summer of this year.

Therefore, HMD's phones are TRUE NOKIAS.

Good looking designs. I think Huawei is in a bit of trouble once the availability of Nokia devices get better.

AnonD-593883, 03 Mar 2017Two phrases for why I won't be tricked by nokia, Snapdragon 430. oh please...
if you are given one S430 and the other S6xx phones to compare, without knowing what processors they're using, I bet you probably can't tell the difference. Don't get fooled by numbers.

ithehappy, 02 Mar 2017Nokia 6 does seem promising. Will keep any eye out. Hope 43... moreI'm using my redmi note 4g with the first Snapdragon 4-series which is the SD400. The phone's still running buttery smooth without any noticeable lag. Of course, I'm not a power user nor do I play any game but it's enough for daily tasks.

Nokia (HMD) user ui, batery life, quality of camera etc...All things consider are yet to be prooven! Bear in mind that Nokia, is not Nokia anymore but HMD instead,a chinese brand , using people who used to work for Nokia.

There are plenty of choices. Buying nokiam just because is Nokia, doesn´t work for me, thank god nowadays people are much more demanding. They have a lot to proove themselfs

LOOKS good. But missing Carl Zeiss, PureView, ClearBlack AMOLED Display. I wish they bring them back, at least in the upcoming models.

Nokia 3, 5, 6, and 3310 are all beautiful. Keep it up Nokia and invade the market again!

I just wonder about the quality of the camera module, the Carl Zeiss quality etc. & the IQ on the Lumia's has always been superb, so I hope that the camera module on the Nokia 6 isn't just a clone module used in a bunch of other mediocre phones, but that the module has been given some proper attention to make sure IQ is up where it should be on the new Nokia's...

720p is not that much of a problem, but that bitch of a format, 3gpp, is. Pass. Although if they have any brains they'll have a proper qwerty slider at some point, and my piggy bank eats the dust immediately at that point, no questions asked. It would have already happened, but the current Psion-heirs on Indiegogo don't have a real camera and can't be used closed - I want a phone with a keyboard, NOT a 3G-capable sub-netbook, so meh...

The truth is Majority OF the android just uses the web, social media, makes calls and texts so the SD430 wouldn't be a problem. Nokia will sell because its Nokia just like with Apples case.
