It's like canned gaming benchmarks being very very misleading for actual in game fps numbers for example, albeit oversimplified analogy. There is no fault with the unit infact many already pointed that out at the store just between themselves. It's another run of the mill Nokia phone for the sake of it, price it lower and it might make some value proposition for the brand loyalists but at the current price its a classic rip off. I'd wager HMD execs would get a fat lip for even daring to ask this sort ridiculous price in person from buyers for a weak phone. No really thats how terrible the price is for this thing. Even after a hypothetical price correction the questions begs, Why bother because the competition is already ahead in this segment not just on price anymore.

I dont know why you are comparing Nokia with chinese brands...just because its made in china...????? dont think it like that dudes....Its not like that...and never will....companies are sold and purchased...just like facebook purchased whatsapp...did someone stoped using whatsapp...NO....and about foxcon...it also make iphones...its costly but it sells like hot cakes...coz...foxcon is an assembler...not a manufacturer...apple controls everything used in making an iphone...and Nokia does the same... so its upto you...how you see the whole picture... I shifted from Nokia to HTC like 6 years ago...now I am waiting for a flagship device from Nokia to replace my HTC flagship device...and I know...there are alot of people like me there...

Camera design is ugly...even whole phone design is ugly. Raun Forsyth will kill nokia again. Is someone there who can bring back marko ahtisaari to the design team again...

ASK 50 RANDOM stranger of their opinion whether they STILL think Nokia as premium brand. I did it for my campus task some months ago and 35 of them say NO, 10 say YES, and 5 didn't answer.
WHY? because (according to those 35 people) NOKIA has "betrayed" them by "moving" from Symbian to WP, making Symbian "dead" & later "betrayed" them again by sold its mobile phone business to MS, making their devices lose its warranty, as most of Nokia service center in my country closed down.
So, can u STILL say that Nokia is a "premium" brand after knowing this?

U think US$230 is a "normal" rice for a device with PATHETIC SD430 & 3GB RAM? Try again!
Mi5, Mi5s, Zuk Z2, Zuk Z2 Pro, LeEco Le Max 2, LeEco Le Pro3, and Axon 7 are SOME of CHINESE smartphone with SD820/821 which price started from US$161 (ZUK Z2 SD820 4GB ram 64GB ROM) up to US$325 (ZTE Axon 7 SD820 4GB RAM 64gb ROM).
What does this means? ur so called 'refinement" is just a big BS fanboy opinion, cuz there are MANY who had tried Nokia 6 hands-on said OTHERWISE.
People in US & EU loved Chinese brands, even Axon 7 is so popular in US & EU because its CHEAP price yet packs premium specs & build quality similar to EXPENSIVE flagship smartphones.

I DID compare Nokia to Chinese brands because the NEW Nokia is just 'rebranded" foxconn smartphone!
FYI, the OLD Nokia did the same thing as Samsung now, OVERPRICED ALL THEIR SMARTPHONES, even going as far as refurbished Nokia 6600 and re-released it as "music edition" with absurd price tag!
Do u know why the CAN do this? because they are the "market leader" at their respective era, so they can priced their products as EXPENSIVE as possible, NOOBS...
BTW, no SMART person will buy Samsung A series or J series.
Most of them will buy last-year Samsung S series / Note series OR buy the latest S series for bragging rights, because A series & J series, similar to Nokia 6, just another OVERPRICED SHITTY smartphones!

It depends on your preference really.. This Nokia 6 at $230 is very acceptable comparing the Samsung A3 2017 at $350, Samsung A5 2017 at $460 and Samsung A7 2017 at $580.. I have xiaomi phone, everyday in my pocket with key/door key, id card, and other stuff.
I like tracking and climbing, I always put everything in my bag and one compartment, phone there, key, small knife, powerbank, phone holder, and others and still now non a single scratch on my mi, no screen protector, no case! Can Nokia 6 do that?

There should be, after all its the latest Android, but in your rushed and somewhat "damnining with faint praise" you make no mention of it or what results from it are like.
