Definitely a step up from the U Ultra/Play, that's for sure...still cannot get behind the removal of the 3.5mm jack. its just simply taking a feature away...that USB-C port would've still been there with the jack with all the same functionality...the proposed excuse, is weak at best...also...BT 4.2? really? gonna strip the 3.5mm jack, then also not give the best BT version for wireless headsets...I hope everyone likes not being able to charge while using headphones.
I almost really liked this phone...almost.

My LG G5's screen works with gloves and I assume many other phones might support that too then (for as long as the fingers are inside the gloves), so that one point in Edge Sense might be not really special.

The back looks really stupid tbh. The camera looks too small, and If they could've just put it in the upper right corner; i would feel much better.

Anonymous, 16 May 2017no 3.5mm jack .... why ...?It comes with a 3.5mm USB-C adapter in the box which has an inbuilt DAC.

So let's summarise: the phone has best camera in the world ever. It has best audio in the phone ever. It looks great and has excellent performance according to benchmark leaks. The package includes great headphones and even 3,5 adapter. Plus, there are some truly innovative solutions (which need to be tested in practice, but at least they tried to make something new)).
It is not metal..but last year 10 was made of metal and everyone cried that it lacks waterproof capabilities....obviously there are people who will s...t on HTC whatever they do. Me, i am totally going for this device.

Cannot wait till the iPhone 8 is a spitting image of the S8 and they can fight over whose infinity screen has larger black bars when viewing videos. Or when the OnePlus 5 comes out with equal sized bezels to this HTC and increase their flagship phone with flagship specs and flagship fanfare to flagship pricing.
Each phone should have it's own identity. IMO HTC U 11 was a step forward for the company and for consumers. S8 looks great too, and performs well too, and has a weird fingerprint scanner too. It's be great if the comments section wasn't constant bashing on the little issues with each phone (none is perfect) and actually was a helpful place that discussed merits.
