I have used samsung products and i dislike them because never had a good life but this year samsung finally recieved its wake up call.
My favourites sony and lg have also made great phones so no matter what you choose you will be satisfied this seems to be a great year for smartphones

Samsung fans, go buy the S8. Sony fans, go buy the XZP. Who needs these relentless, useless and pointless quarrels over something as insignificant as a phone? The choice of a product for personal use is a subjective and not entirely rational either. In the end it always comes to personal preferences and just as GSMA concluded, every one of the tested products satisfies a particular mixture of such needs and preferences. Yes, the S8 comes on top of these measurements most of the time but XZP and G6 have their strong sides as well. In my view, these comparisons usually only serve a limited role of confirming one's choice which has been already made. They provide just some additional info on the products stronger and weaker sides. E.g. Samsung users will figure out a way to use the uncomfortably placed fingerprint reader and Sony users will figure out the right manual settings of taking snaps in the dark. Stop this stupid hunt for the Holy Grail and the one and only truth. The world is interesting and beautiful exactly because its diverse and people are unique, including in terms of their consumer preferences.

How can the galaxy S8 win in the design department. Yes it has that "futuristic" bezeless design, but at the expense of that awkwardly placed fingerprint sensor. also why do they ignore the fragility of the screen. and also the weird aspect ratio, which does not have any content that the screen could benefit from the "bezeless" design. they've only made the screen narrower and taller.

Yes, in this review Sam win but doesn't mean the other two are bad for flagship level cause the two still manage to tie or even give tough decision for the review
Stop hating, peace!!

-When it comes to deisgn its just personal choice and i would go with xz premium specially chrome version.
-Display is again something how people prefer.. Saturated or natural or any other way. I would say s8 might be little ahead than xz premium and g6 is not in the race.
- When it comes to speakers s8 has loudest but xz premium has the clearest sound and stereo speakers which give you a great experience. So again it depends on user's choice.
-Battery life is a little more on s8 but xz premium is equipped with qnovo which will give you longer life for your battery if you r planning to use your phone for coming 3-4 years.
-When it comes to cameras details are unmatchable on xz premium. Lowlight takes a blow but again a steady hand will bring back xz premium in lead. Hdr capabilities are again better on sony. When it comes to stabilisation ois is no match for sony's intelligent auto steady mode. Then comes colour reproduction which is again great and most natural on sony. ( the above mentioned points are not my opinion but what the above review said). And then the revolutionary 960fps on sony makes sony a clear winner in camera.
So for me sony is the best but again if you are someone who are after that gorgeous but fragile infinity display go for s8 but again g6 is nowhere in the competition of the above two.

Looks like that 11 bilion $ samsung pay for marketing every year works out pretty well. My lg v20 makes better still images than galaxy s7 on good daylight. S8 uses same sensor than why s8 is better camera than phones that have better camera than lg v20. Think $

AnonD-664474, 21 May 2017Samsung, LG, and Sony fans must calm down.
No need to insu... moreI don't care about either phones but your points to defend the Sony is extremely childish, though there can't be any mature points anyway.
Speaker: Loudness is as much important as quality. These are a mobile phone speaker, not a dedicated audio system, so no matter what quality is eventually be poor anyway. So yeah a loud mono speaker is more acceptable than a quiet stereo speaker.
Camera: Needless to say using a tripod or manual mode for a mobile phone is the most convenient, and I'll leave it at that.
Display: Pointless really, Sony never had a display which can be remotely compared with Samsung, be it in terms of colour accuracy or anything.
There is not a single thing except the stock-ish android which is better on the Sony. So people just need to save time trying to defend it.

So if you count the ties the S8 comes out on top pretty much.
Even people saying loudspeakers are amazing the galaxy S8 managed tod draw with its monospeaker LOL wasnt the Xperia XZ meant to have an amazing loudspeaker like everyone kept saying before the phone came out.
Anyways well done Samsung its another win for you, I take your bettery battery, feature rich UI, amazing display over the rest :D

I actually just got the XZ, taking advantage of the price drop due to the outing of the XZs and the XZ Premium...
In my opinion I still like Sony's design better than Samsung or LG. The curved screen might be "pretty" but in reality it is just not practical, and it reflects a lot of light on the curved edge, very distracting when watching a movie or simply using it. I would rather have the flat display found on either the G6 and the XZP.
Regarding the speakers, I also prefer Stereo because it gives you a more natural sound when using the phone in landscape for watching a video/movie, playing a game or listening to music casually... And the location is just perfect for holding the phone and not blocking the sound accidentally.
I own the noise cancelling headphones and they work great with Xperia... I tested them against Bose QC20 and both the quality and noise cancellation was nearly identical.
Also IMO, the side mounted fingerprint scanner is the perfect location for that sensor, since it can be operated when the phone is facing up, down, or in your hands no matter if you are leftie or rightie. For me it works flawlessly.
And finally, the camera of my XZ is the older non-motion-eye model which was deemed "bad" by reviewers and media... and to be honest I expected the worst when I got it, but to my surprise, the quality is just superb... I don't know if Sony's implementation of Android N brought improvement to it, because I never used it on Marshmallows, but daylight snaps are awesome, and even though low light photography does suffer, you don't need a tripod... simply by leaning against any rigid surface you can achieve wonderful shots with the slow shutter mode.
I do miss features that were dropped by Sony, compared to previous generations such as the hole for straps, but I still love the little things that still count such as the dedicated camera button or the notification led light.
All in all I love my XZ, it feels like a great deal at its current price, and would love to test the new ones with super slow motion....
The Galaxy S8 truly is the best smartphone today, but it really doesn't suit me.
