Xiaomi Redmi 4a review: Economy Basic

6 June 2017
With an asking price of about $100, the Redmi 4a is obviously at the very bottom of the company lineup - which pretty much equals the lowest there is in the smartphone food chain. If reputations are made or undone in the flagship category, the Redmi 4a must be well on the safe side being the polar opposite. We don't think this disclaimer is even needed but Xiaomi's entry level should be pretty much under most people's radar. It would've slipped under ours too was it not for a sudden spike in popularity in our charts.

It's just that you can get the Redmi 4X with 435 for about the same $100 now. It also has a bigger 4100mAh battery.

Sluggish entry-level chipset?!? Are you out of your Mind GSMARENA?! That chipset is better than Snapdragon 410 which powered J5 2016 and Galaxy Tab 9.6 A 2015...

        Excellent review!

The best thing about it that, although there were disclaimers about shortness all over, l had to think hard to see what is missing compared to regular reviews.

Compared to usual short reviews, which felt like reviewer didn't care at all, this review is well written and somewhat passionate - the UI section is longer than on most regular reviews!

          And thats an honest review:)
I have Redmi4 Prime and this phone is really good. But true I think u really have to have at least 3GB of RAM to run MIUI smoothly. For people on tight budget Redmi 4A might do just fine

You guys should review the Redmi 4 . It's a great device . It looks good and it's build quality is just great not to mention that it is an awesome phone in all departments except in low light photography and high end gaming ( asphalt 8 on high causes frame drops but it's still playable)
