OnePlus 5 review: Doing the math

20 June 2017
Strange that with a name like that OnePlus doesn't know simple addition. Oh well, tetraphobia is real and many product lines avoid the number 4, so it's anything but odd for a Chinese company to skip straight to 5. That, and the 3T was sort of like a 4.

I think the Zenfone 3 Zoom is worthy of being on of it's competitors. It may not have the same Processing power, but it is the OP5's direct competitor in most respects :)

OP is not flagship killer anymore, it just another compromise phone.

AnonD-39937, 21 Jun 2017This is an awesome phone, genuinely good and practical. 10 ... moreSurprise, surprise - the OnePlus 5 cheats in benchmarks, just like those before it

The complete XDA Developers report is available in the links below if you wish to dig deeper into all the technological details of benchmark cheating. OnePlus isn't the only company to do so – the past remembers the likes of Samsung and HTC using this tactic too, hoping to squeeze a few thousand extra points out of AnTuTu or whatever. While synthetic benchmarks are great at providing a general idea of how a phone fares performance-wise, actual use is what really matters, and that's much harder to quantify.

should we wait for some time, if they will launch the 'T' version of op5?? can anyone tell me this.
I already got disappointed when my friend bought 3t in front of me against my op3 version.

But video playback is the 5th best record of any device they ever have used. And the wifi internet browsing beats the OP 3T by over 2 hours. They the results that matter.

Do Iphones have SD card slots? No they don't, does that stop them selling millions of devices every year? No it doesn't.

What is this world coming to?? It's been like this for years don't worry nothing new.

Decent price ($300 less than iPhone )

                                Bad points
                                Smaller battery than OP3T
Low resolution display compared to flagships
                                Huge bezels
                                No waterproofing
                                No stereo speakers.
                                No OIS
                                No 3D touch
No wireless charging ( also absent in iPhone 7)
No expandable storage (64 GB would be too less in 1-2 years)

They should have priced it at $400 then it would be super hit all over the world.

So disappointed .... Samsung has understood and proves it with the S8 (I don't like Samsung), the 2013-2016 smartphone were far too wide!
                                  74,1 is huge !!!!!!
