i think the gsm arena is somewhat unbias about their reviews on k850 and n95.the k850 is a great phone which projects and views images clearly, with its 5 megapixel camera, assisted with its 2 flashes, the Xenon and the 3LED flash. the video recording has been enhanced and is more clear than my k800i. I have already visited at least 25 websites and I have read all their reviews and specifications and I do believe that k850 is a big catastrophe in the market today. I really dont like the n95 phone, although it has a Carl Zeiss Optics, which the nokia publishers are proud of. But then it is already beyond the limit. K850 HAS A BETTER camera and has a portable and handy design which somewhat resembles that of a digital camera. The video recording is QVGA @ 30fps which is a big improvement. whats the use of having n95's VGA @30 fps if you have already a clear video recording capabilities which the Sony possess. All in all i HAVE TO SAY THAT the k850i is a magnificent phone, brilliant and outstanding, it will never be surpassed by sgh g800, LG KE850 AND EVEN N95.. iTS price is around 19,990 here in the philippines...believe me k850 is the best and the most affordable phone nowadays, It is also packed up with tri-band HSDPA (high speed data packet access) quadband EDGE, 256K COLORs 18 bit, and QVGA (320*240) DISPLAY. It also has magnanimous games which are downloadable and new media folder... I heard that it can also support TV OR dvh-b or whatever so it really is efficient, It has a 3 touch sensitive buttons which are kinda cute and interesting.
it weighs 117-118 grams and has a very good display.the k850 is also a 3.5G phone or likewise what we call as a bridge between 3G and 4G.It has a built in speaker which has now megabass, and could produce sound louder and more vibrant..the lens of the camera is now new and profound.unlike the k800i...with its 5 megapixl camera phone it is barely a substitute to a digital camera 4-5 years ago. it has a new setting which is the ISO which really helps you get sharp, vivid and natural pictures. Unluckily n95 is really bulky and you really need a big bag to carry it. However, the only negative side of k850i is that it has no TV output, that is really a big help and a big amusement today. Lastly, k850 has different accesories.
SO if you want a really good phone with a tremendous package, k850 is the right phone for you and if you need a not so good phone, bulky and cheap n95 is for you. Thank you.

check this review too:
http://www.smape.com/en/reviews/nokia/SonyEricsson_K850ivsNokia_N95.html
they said:
"Sony Ericsson were able to design a well-balanced 5 Mpix camera phone which isn’t bad at all at taking pictures but it has very few advantages over the N95 while the latter was able to beat its competitor in quite a number of tests."
"The hardware design of K850i is extremely successful, making it a handy and easy-to-learn digital camera, simplicity being a huge benefit. The motion detector is quite an intriguing features, and the gallery feature is rather good as well. But taken as a whole, the handset doesn’t have any far-advanced functions in comparison to the Nokia’s flagship N95. It gives us an expectation that a situation similar to the last year’s will take place again, when N73 sold better than its rivals, and N95 is going to have even better sales – not because K850i turned bad or is just an intermediate product making way to a more advanced successor but largely due to N95’s outstanding qualities, even considering its high price."

What a bunch of sourgraping SE fanboys. Clearly you all must be blind. Happens with PS3 fanboys too. I don't like either but you're all free to express your stupidity here.

Just to point out. The only reason the N95 won was because of the video in which the Nokia got 5 and the SE only got 1. To say that the video quality of the K850i is only to the standard of 1 out of 5 is absolutely ludicrus!!! it's at least a 3! And what use is a camera if you can't keep it on for more than an hour? Clearly the K850 is at least the equal of the N95 if not slightly the superior!?!?!

Here we are at the end of this shootout. GSMArena was once again an arena for the battle of the titans. We hope that this article will help you decide between the most popular 5-megapixel choices on the market if you are going to buy your next phone based on its photographic abilities. In this heavy-weight championship series the Sony Ericsson K850 managed to collect a total of 31 points, while the Nokia N95 managed to beat it by a slight margin with a total of 34 points. Those numbers are indicative only and you should give more weight to the results of the tests that matter most to you. It was a close call, but this time we prefer the Nokia model. The main issue with previous Nokia cameras - the overprocessed look is gone with the N95 and the experience Nokia had with their photo mobiles so far seems enough to compete with the years of Sony know-how in the field. As a last note, let's not forget that Sony Ericsson K850 firmware is still in beta. If the photo quality changes significantly with the final version we will revise the article.

hey guys! take it easy! i've just been to www.mobile-review.com and they concluded that these phones are on a draw. they have their own strong points ok? like what the above mentioned website said, "K850 is better in natural color reproduction and camera user interface.... and N95 is more artistic...... ok.... now i'm confused? artistic in what way. anyway, like they said it's a draw. but in my opinion, i like k850 slightly better. check out the chamomile image comparison between the 2 phones. n95 looks somewhat fake. it's like the chamomile flower was just pasted on a grass background. i dunno. i think it's the result of too much post-image processing. anyhow, k850 wins in my opinion since i like more natural color reproduction. and more importantly, it's close to half the price of n95.
