Redmi Note 4 and the Galaxy J7 (2016) are great sub $200 devices.
For under $300, I would go for the Moto Z Play or the Lenovo P2.
ZTE Axon 7, Mi Max 2 or the Mi 5S Plus are great smartphones for under $400.
Under $600, it is the S7 edge all the way!
And for over $600, I would suggest the Galaxy S8+ or the XZ Premium.

The mi6 doesn't cost over 400€ anywhere in EMEA now. I doubt you can't get it for less on the US as well.
Actually, it might be closer to 300€ than 400€.

And I care about software support because I use my device as long as it gets updates (sometimes even longer) as I don't count myself to the disposable society

Great to see the Galaxy A5(2017) in there!! Absolutely amazing phone. Has all the amazing features that flagships have some more than others like the always on display and water proofing which some flagships do not have!! All you have to do is compromise on the camera and since i dont use the camera too often its the perfect phone for me!!
P.S Its display is as good as all flagships out there which have 1080p resoluton maybe even a little bit better!!!

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2017Another questionable choice is to not include the iPhone 7 ... moreIf you need to have the fastest chipset, you have to buy a new device every year. Why care about software support longevity?
And vice versa, if you keep a device for several years, why care whether it was marginally faster than everything else on day 1?

Buyers don't go for HTC 10 or other HTC products poor after sale service, poor products, no customer support.
