Anonymous, 17 Aug 2017What did you say? father of innovation? what innovation? du... moreNo,Nokia is the actual innovator but just that they are not showing off. Motorola is not a innovator bro!!! They were just merge with Lenovo and starts to copy other Chinese phones. Moto G5 is similar to the Xiaomi and vivo phone!!!! Wake up, all phone brands are not innovating anymore.

I just figured out why they called it "Nokia 8"
All of their best camera phones were designated with the digit "8": Nokia N8, Nokia 808 and now the Nokia 8

Choose IPS Screen is a wise idea. OLED is trash bad technology, nasty screen burnin, very bad sunlight legibility, ugly black theme to cover the faulty tech, and more power draw than IPS.

good phone, but wish the screen to body ratio to be much better. it's longer than some 5.5" phones...
LG, Samy, even Fruit co are getting smaller with bigger screen

I still think the old Nokia everyone knows and loves is dead. It's merely the brand were seeing now that lives on. Kind of like MG cars, the Chinese bought the brand and they design and manufacturer modern cars in China for the Chinese market with the MG badge but other than that theres nothing left to identify it with the former company.
The magic is gone.

For this price nahhh
There are many competitors in market which already captured the customer just like oneplus 5
If they want to sell there phones so they have to lower there price tags.

It strikes me that shutter speed on the showed images is very fast. Considering the fact that the camera has an OIS function, maybe the blurriness (especially on the greenery) of the pictures would not be so profound with a bit prolonged shutter speed.

AnonD-679970, 17 Aug 2017Always On means it's 'always on'. I had Nokia E7 years ago ... moreReally? I have a moto z and x and the display on a glance is wayyyyy better than this you can top the notification and replay it without unlocking the device or just simply wave youre hand and thin you can see whos calling or texting you unlike this nokia that you need to touch your phone to trigger the sensor.

There are plenty of big names using the latest tech pushing it to the limits by all kinds of software tricks.
Just because it is Nokia carrying the Zeiss brand does not mean that it will smash the competition into the ground. It may be on par with the big guns, may be a pinch better, but after all this is a phone not a professional camera.
