Apple iPhone 8 Plus vs. Samsung Galaxy Note8 full camera shootout

21 October 2017
It's a pair of cameras each but who wore it better? We all know the iPhone did it first, and Samsung's a little late to this party. And yes, we all know that between these two it's not really a 'hey, you've got the same shirt, let's hang out together' moment - no, it's more like 'look the other way and pretend they're not there'.

one plus 5 destroit bot

Jdjjdj, 23 Oct 2017Note 8 can be the best but i refuse to buy do to its brick ... moreThe Note 8 is only 4 mm taller than the iPhone 8 Plus. Odds are that if you own a Plus sized iPhone you may as well fit a Note 8.
Additionally such phone is narrower so it somehow compensates for the additional length. I'd say the additional screen size and quality more than compensate for the added length

Note 8 can be the best but i refuse to buy do to its brick like long design body! No thanks. Cant put in jean pocket unless u r a big guy with big pants.

Been using the note8 for almost a month now and i agree that it takes excellent stills. Videos could admittedly be better.

what a bad low light performance for one of the highest DXoo camera phones,,,, even my old lg g2 can take better low lights ... no questions on my daily driver lg g4 the camera it has is able to compete and beat a lot of a devices current highend and mid ragers . well but it is natural it got a really good camera hardware to compensate lack in performance and this combo is still really good good sensor lens and aperture . I love my phone camera taking photos is something Iike a lot.
I don't see a real successor for my phone camera yet, it should have a bigger sendor , bigger aperture, and better processing . maybe 2019-2020.

I haven't watched all the photos in this comparison, but enough to see that the iPhone 8 Plus does a better job in daylight and low light situations, in my opinion. It manages to capture more light while still providing a lot of detail. I have the iPhone 8 (4.7inch) and the camera is fantastic and reliable in all lighting situations. If I would've liked the Note 8 pictures more than the 8 Plus, I would've definitely admit that. But, that's not the case :)

the Note 8 is indeed very good if beating Canon's 5D DSLR in gsmarenas photo comparison tool is worth anything. For example, checkout detail of lines in face and collar on Lincoln in $5 note.
