Well GSMARENA,we loved the camera review but we would like you to please do a thorough comparison of NOTE 8,IPHONE X,IPHONE 8 PLUS,HUAWEI MATE 10,PIXEL(both of them) to make the buying decision easy for us (the normal customers).PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.....

Do you seriously think that people don't need an option for camera resolution and frame rate?? Are you saying that they should just open the camera app and blindly shoot everytime? What's use of having 720@240fps or any other mode?
Don't get me started over how much nitpicky women are when it comes to their things/hobbies.

It would show an icon, name the setting and explain in layman terms asking if user wants it on or off. And the icon would be displayed in the app the whole time. The user would remember from the setup if it is done well. But yes in general iphone has the job of making the tech stuff transparent to the consumer and just working. This is one of the biggest things MS struggles with. They have a hard time letting go of their tech side. Everything is overly complex. I notice with my day to day usage of windows 10 just how bad their UI design is. All they need is the transparent version for consumers and have the tech stuff hidden in a layer that can be enabled and tweaked.
Take something simple as an app installation. Ok so you go to the store and you get an app. Now what? I don't see the app in my start menu. Where is the app? Why are all the other apps there but not this one? Oh you find it in this little smaller list. So how come I have to launch this app from the smaller list? No one is going to try right clicking it, pinning it and then finding it at the bottom and knowing to hold it for a long time to move it. Oh and I have to right click and find some menu to change the size.
I could go on and on about the bad design but I think everyone knows haha.
Seriously what were they thinking.

Both cameras are great but the N8 does it for me. It offers a complete package. Both are not my favourite brands though!

You underestimeted the iphone sound recording problem.
A good video with bad sound is an overall bad video for me.
So the Iphone is a no go.

They know that if you spend $700 on a phone it should make life easier for you. If you go to an expensive restaurant you would like to go in the kitchen every second and keep looking to see if the chef is cooking it the way you want? Or you simply place an order and expect quality and appreciate the experience and expertise of the chef? I sometimes feel men are far naggier as compared to women who are superior in every way.

It's a pity that iPhone's settings for changing the resolution is buried in the Setting apps and not in the Camera app. How unintuitive.....
Also, Samsung should have kept the HDR setting on the main interface.
In the daylight shots, finding the better performer is like splitting hairs. Detail is pretty comparable. The iPhone 8 Plus is slightly duller than the Note8, though not as lifeless as the iPhone 7. The Note8 emerges just ahead of the line with better noise management and slightly more detail & contrast. Even the telephoto lens shows the same traits.
HDR will have to go the Note8, although both render superb dynamic range with/without HDR. What give Note8 the edge is for bringing out the detail in the shadows, the Live preview and the better use of HDR in Auto setting.
In low-light there is no contest really. The iPhone is one of the best, but the Note8 can lay claim to be THE BEST (The Pixel 2 prowess remains to be seen). Seriously, the difference is like night & day. Be it the better f1.7 aperture, larger pixels, larger sensor, Dual Pixel or image stacking, the Note8's image are better in every way (detail, colour, noise, exposure). Plus, the excellent Pro Mode on the Note8 gives it an even bigger lead.
Potrait Mode is one where both these are pretty capable and among the best smartphones capable too. While not yet DSLR-levels, having an additional camera as depth sensor definitely helps. I would say the Note8 takes a slight edge here because of it's sharp separation of object and background, but more importantly because of the ability to adjust the blur (both before and after the shot) and also it's better field of view. The iPhone's shots are pretty good too and their Potrait Lighting is innovative (although Stage light looks very cheesy).
When it comes to Selfies, it once again a no-brainer thanks to the Note8's selfie setup, which is one of the best and most balanced right now. 8 MP resolution, f1.7, wide FoV, 1.22 um pixels, 1/3.6" sensor and autofocus is a superb combination.
Regarding Video, iPhone was supposed to go off to a flying start.............
4K@60fps? Amazing.
1080p@240fps? Superb.
Mono Audio???!!! Pathetic.
It's the equivalent of watching a Chris Nolan IMAX movie in a theatre with the sound coming from your small mono Bluetooth speaker.
Once Again, Apple's refusal to consider feedback has proven to be it's downfall.
That's why I think it's a tie, especially considering OIS in Note8's Telephoto camera and better video at night. Otherwise, in daylight, the video of both are pretty capable.

Its great to see how close the image quality are getting ( no pixel peeping ) . Specially daylight photos . For social media but would work perfectly . Users can easily mistake snaps from Iphone8 are taken from samsung phone .
My wife opted for 8Plus after having the option of Note8. 8Plus and X . Bezeless is just not her thing . It looks beautiful but seems more delicate and fragile in hands and the ergnomics are not that great . Imo v30 has the best ratio . Unique preference for every individual i suppose

In day light, ip8+ looks so unnatural and so bright. Some scene looks like drawing photo for me. Note 8 balances in day light and good tho in low light. For video ip8+ win but not by miles away.

IMO might be iPhone have some edge over note8 in few departments but as complete package note 8 is a phone of year because what you will get in iPhone x an amoled display and comparable camera both have there strong hold in different areas at the end it's up-to your taste but spen edge design great camera awesome infinity display make it ahead of iPhone
