Batte... more67 hours in gsmarena test is not making the day in modern use.
People on average use 7-8 hours with screen on per day. According to gsmarena's very own test this one never recorded more than 6 hours... This phone has attrocious battery by modern standards.
I do agree that mi mix 1 was too big but since its bezels were less chunky it was actually not that much bigger than mi mix 2. Mi Mix 2's aspect ratio kills one handedness anyway so Mi Mix 1 is not that much at a disadvantage anyway, 18:9 aspect ratio made sure of that...
Oh well, some people insist in seeing a silver lining everywhere.

I never liked their approach to "bezelless". Having a single bottom bezel makes the entire phone asymmetric. And that front camera placement is awkward. All in all, not a bad looking phone but not an incredibly good looking one either.

Absolutely stunning design, just like the first Mi Mix had. The battery life is just unimpressive.

My wife's mi mix 2 showed up today. I can't say anything about battery life but this is a really nice looking phone. Even though reviews have been knocking it, the camera is pretty darn good, not quiet as good as the Honor 8 camera, but close. This phone is fast too, reminds me of the snappiness from my Honor 8 but with an insanely awesome screen. I have large-ish hands and the mi mix 2 fits in my hand really well. After looking/holding all the new devices in US market, IMO this is the best looking and best "in my hand" feeling phone out right now. And it's $300-400 less than the samsung/lg/google flagship phones. Only problem is now I'm jealous of my wife's new phone.

65h of endurance ? A real disappointment. The result is not so bad at Phone Arena, but those guys do not have a good battery life test.

The bezels on that are larger than on my Note5! Why the hype over the Mi's so called bezeless display? Even the picture on your title is dishonest as it shows almost zero bezel!

Thanks GSMArena Team for MI Mix 2 professional review, really appreciate all your efforts was eagerly waiting for review.
Lets keep all of its Cons aside, its still beautiful handset compared to others.
Hope Xiaomi will fix all Cons specially Battery endurance with Oreo update.
After reading all OP5 negative reviews on Amazon.in will be buying Mi Mix2 after all.

Battery is ok, not worst than other flagships. Remember so pushing here by bots 1+5. Nobody say it's bad. Why here it's vice versa?
I see people biased or something even worse.

they keep on leaving out more and more features. First no replaceable battery, then no microsd, no 3.5mm jack, no irda, no fm radio... modern smartphones are expensive but full of limitations

What a shame, in several ways the original and older Mi M... moreCPU is the same. Sorry, but I can see no difference between SD821 and SD835 in performance. Qualcomm had a goose egg in her hand.
Same with RAM, Mi Mix offered 6GB (which IMO is the only worthy edition), Mi Mix 2 also offers 8GB version, but there's literally zero difference between the two given MiUI's aggressive scheduler.
Lastly about audio. It's an exceptionally niche use. Most use headphones with the phones and guess what ... Mi Mix 2 doesn't have that capacity either.
So only the camera remains. Which is indeed better, but that's only because Mi Mix 1's was attrocious. Really Mi Mix 1 is still the perfect phone apart from that one problem.
Mi Mix 2 took a near perfect phone and made it middle of the pack. Way to tarnish a name Xiaomi...

- Bigger screen
- Brighter screen with higher contrast and better viewing angles
- Better Looking design
- Far bigger and better performing battery
Due to the above, I feel the new Mi Mix 2 is a downgrade and worse than the original. Aside from the improved camera, audio, cpu and ram, nothing else is any better.

Russian roulette with "natural" jully effect. Unfair promotions if forums using trolls and bots. No, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 definitely better. And looks beautiful and unique.

This is a good reason to buy the original. The original has a larger display with lower prices, period. Please dont make it sound it is better or trendy to have taller displays. I'd rather have a wider 1080p phone, please.
This is too expensive for what it is. OP5 has better value as it offers an AMOLED display and headphone jack. One can also go with a G6 since the bezels and price are small enough. The S8 is an easy alternative for having the best display and storage expansion.

if i have to point out amassive downgrade then its the battery and if i have to be picky then those onscreen buttons look annoyingly very close to each other so im hoping to be able to change how they are positioned.
